Jesus Christ is the Most Important Building Piece, Whom this World Rejects

Luke 20:9-19

  • The messengers of the Gospel of Christ are treated badly.
  • Jesus Christ is persecuted and put to death.
  • Jesus is the most important piece for building the house.

The messengers of the Gospel of Christ are treated badly. “Then He began to tell the people this parable: “A certain man planted a vineyard, leased it to vinedressers, and went into a far country for a long time.” Luke 20:9 God planted a vineyard with the Jewish nation through the Old Testament, and the vinedressers are such as the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, etc. Also, Jesus Christ planted the seed of the Gospel and left it to the inhabitants of the earth to live by and He is now in Heaven. “Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that they might give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty-handed.” Luke 20:10 God expected the Jewish nation to bring forth a harvest of souls for Him, but instead they badly abused the Prophets that spoke about repentance and reconciling to God. Also, the inhabitants of this earth treat the messengers of the testimony of Christ very badly, and they are not able to bring souls to Christ. “Again he sent another servant; and they beat him also, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed. And again he sent a third; and they wounded him also and cast him out.” Luke 20:11-12 The Jewish nation persistently rejected and abused the Prophets. Also, every person that Jesus sends to share His Gospel are badly treated and not able to bring others to Christ.

Today, the inhabitants of the earth are hostile to the teachings of Jesus Christ and are vigilant against the Gospel from taking root and spreading. They have their own thing to cultivate. They are requiring people to be receptive to the thing that has the power to form thoughts feelings, emotions, and behaviors. That is what syncs people to the mark of the beast. It wants to make the mind and heart its seat of government and opposes the person who wants to be the home of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is persecuted and put to death. “Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect him when they see him.’” Luke 20:13 God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the Jewish people first, giving them the opportunity to receive Him. Jesus Christ was sent to atone for sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.” Luke 20:14 The Jewish nation wasn’t interested in having their sin atoned for by Jesus nor to give up their authority over the people. They conspired to have Him crucified and killed on the Cross. Today, the global government of the beast wants Christ eliminated so that they can rule over the heart and mind of people around the world.

“So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, what will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others.” Luke 20:15-16a. The Israelis are no longer the farmers who are spreading the word of God, they have been cast out of the vineyard. The followers of Jesus Christ are now the ones cultivating the vineyard with His Gospel. Also, the global government of the earth will be destroyed by the coming of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the most important piece for building the house. “And when they heard it they said, “Certainly not!” Luke 20:16b. It was not acceptable to think that Israel would reject their Messiah, nor that others would be entrusted with the word of God other than the Israelis. “Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone’?” Luke 20:17 Jesus quoted words about Himself from one of their Prophets, reminding them that they are the ones who reject Him. He is the chief cornerstone of the word of God. He is the chief cornerstone that builds us up as the home of the Holy Spirit, and He is the chief cornerstone who the global government of the beast rejects.

“Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Luke 20:18 Israel has rejected Jesus and today and are a broken nation and, in the tribulation, will be devastated (ground to powder). Likewise, this present world rejects Jesus Christ and progresses in building the global “democratic” society. They will be broken and ground to powder in the global tribulation which leads to the Battle of Armageddon. Each one of us must receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

“And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.” Luke 20:19 Luke 20:19 The leaders of the Jewish nation, entrusted to interpret the word of God to the people, were angry. It’s obvious that they completely ignored the words of the Prophets referring to Jesus Christ. They were not about to teach the people the truth about who Jesus is and they didn’t believe a word of Isaiah 53 which is a prophecy about Jesus Christ the person, crucifixion, death, and the atonement made for sin. Many people believed the words of Jesus, so many that the leaders feared what would happen if they were hostile to Him.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
