God has two children. “Then He said: “A certain man had two sons.” Luke 15:11 A common theme of the Bible is that God has two children, the older who is the Jewish people, and the younger who is Christianity. That is symbolized through Jacob and Esau, Ephraim and Manasseh, etc. Because the Israelis rejected Jesus as their Messiah, Jesus was offered to the non-Jews. The younger received all the blessings of the older, including Salvation in the name of Jesus, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and a home in the New Jerusalem. “And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood.” Luke 15:12 After Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was resurrected, all of the livelihood was appointed to the younger child of Christianity because whoever believes in Him receives Salvation, the Holy Spirit, and life in the New Jerusalem. The older child, the Israelis, rejected Christ as the Messiah and has none of that livelihood given to them.

The squandering of the Gospel of Christ. “And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.” Luke 15:13 For Christians to waste their possessions is for belief in God to dwindle, living for Christ dwindles, and the Holy Spirit dwindles. When Christianity dwindles, there is a severe famine of the Gospel, which is happening worldwide today. “But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.” Luke 15:14 The Gospel of Christ is not being preached and taught in the churches, and they are supposed to be the one place where the death, resurrection, and return of Christ is shared. The message has been squandered that God sent His Son, Jesus, to bring Salvation through the remission of sin, and whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. The Israelis, during the time of Christ, considered everyone to be squanderers of the things of God, and they considered themselves to be the only people of God. The younger child was considered to be a heathen. To this day, the Israelis reject Jesus Christ, do not believe in Salvation through Jesus, and have no part in sharing the Gospel. Ironically, they have become the wayward squanderers.

Joining with the ways of the world to survive. When a person squanders their life in Jesus Christ, the only place left to turn are to those who live according to the beliefs and ways of the world, “Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.” Luke 15:15 The citizens of communities today want people to be fed with slop that pollutes the Holy Spirit and dirties the reputation of those living for Christ. Those who have squandered the Holy name of God are put into the services to “feed swine.” That is the agenda of those who govern by the mark of the beast, to use employees to mar the teachings of the Bible and disparage those who live by the Spirit of Christ. Those with the Christian heritage lodged in their heart are used to do the work that is undesirable to those who live for the mark of the beast. The rewards for workers who have a Christian heritage is practically nothing, “And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.” Luke 15:16 Materially speaking, those laborers are given no appreciation, thankfulness, physical comforts, nor much money nor possessions. Spiritually speaking, they aren’t given the courtesy given to animals. During the days of Jesus, the Israelis regarded the non-Jews with as much contempt, the younger child was treated with disdain.

Come to God the Father for forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ. The only way that we have enough bread is to go to the Father, who has plenty to spare, “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” Luke 15:17 That bread is the Bread of Life, who is Jesus Christ. All we need to do is to humble ourselves in the presence of God, to acknowledge our sin, and to become His servant through Jesus, “I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” Luke 15:18-19 That is what the younger child of Christianity does in order to inherit the blessings of the older child (the Jewish nation). When we begin to come to God, He will meet us on the way, and as soon as we have that very first thought of walking towards Him, He will already be on the way to meets us, “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.” Luke 15:20

The thing that has power over physiology wants to dissuade our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors against coming to God through Jesus. Its only intent is to make our mind and heart its seat of government, and to destroy our body as the home of the Holy Spirit.

We may not feel worthy, but God rejoices when we come to Jesus Christ. None of us has to feel worthy of God’s compassion, and in our humbleness before Him we will not feel worthy. Definitely, those who govern and live by the mark of the beast will always brow beat us within our thoughts and feelings. Our acknowledgement of sinning against God is made in His ears and through Jesus Christ and within our heart. “And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’” Luke 15:21 The public confession that we make is that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, those who publicly lift up the name of Jesus, Jesus will publicly acknowledge us in the presence of God. Regardless of how unworthy we feel, or are made to feel, God accepts us. He clothes us with the Holy Spirit, gives us shoes for walking in Christ, and puts His family ring on our hand. “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.” Luke 15:22

In the days of Jesus, the older child (Israelis) made the non-Jews feel unworthy of even existing. The younger child (Christianity) was shunned, disparaged, and disrespected. In the eyes of God, it is a great day of rejoicing when a person comes to Him through Jesus, “And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;” Luke 15:23 Jesus Christ was killed, and God raised Him from the dead and He lives eternally in the kingdom of God. Because He lives, we live also, and although we were lost in sin we are now found in the Spirit of Christ, “…for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:24 God calls us His child, anyone who receives His Son Jesus Christ. That upsets the whole Israeli community since they reject the Son of God.

The younger (Christianity) has received the inheritance of the older (Israelis). All through the Bible, the Holy Spirit makes it clear that the younger child has inherited the blessings of the older child. Which is to say that those who come to God through Jesus Christ has received everything that God would have given to the Israelis. That is symbolized through Jacob and Esau, Ephraim and Manasseh, Zerah and Perez, etc. In other words, the Salvation which comes through Jesus, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the inheritance of eternal life has been transferred from the Jewish people to Christianity. The older son (Israelis), during the days of Jesus, didn’t like what they were hearing, “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’” Luke 15:25-27 Jesus Christ receives the whosoever, and the older child is not happy about that at all, “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him.: Luke 15:28

The Jews should rejoice in the expanded family that comes through Jesus. Jesus Christ pleaded often with the Jews to listen to Him, but the Israelis only had their own self-righteousness in mind, “So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.” Luke 15:29 They couldn’t comprehend how non-Jewish heathens, who made a life of serving many gods or no god at all, could have a relationship with their God, “But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’” Luke 15:30 Jesus Christ did not come to destroy the Israeli people, all that God has is theirs, meaning Jesus was killed for them also, “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.” Luke 15:31 The Jewish nation rejected Jesus Christ, and they are not able to rejoice when others come to God through Jesus Christ. They do not accept that we can be found and that the resurrection of life comes through Jesus. Even so, God says it is right to believe in Jesus, and calls us a brother (younger child) to the Israelis (older child), “It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:32

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
