In the Spirit of Christ, the good news of Salvation is proclaimed by His followers. If Jesus Christ is proclaiming it then we know what is being proclaimed, the good news of the kingdom of God. It’s a message of God’s love for sinners and the forgiveness of sins for whoever believes Him. The good news is this, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 The Apostles are with Him in sharing the good news, which is what thrusted the Gospel to all seven continents and to every country around the world, as written here, “Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him…” Luke 8:1 As followers of Jesus Christ, we have His Spirit to proclaim the good news along with other Believers.
Women share in the contributions and afflictions of sharing the Gospel of Christ. There were many women contributing to the ministry of Jesus Christ, and they came from every sector of life, “…and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who ministered to Him from their substance.” Luke 8:2-3 Today, we live in a world that detests any contributions at all being made to the ministry of Jesus Christ, no matter who makes the contributions. Society, as well as the churches, are dominated by those who live by the mark of the beast and discard the need for Jesus. Women, who choose to live for Jesus Christ, suffer affliction right alongside with the men.
Different backgrounds unite in the single purpose of serving Jesus. The women mentioned in verses two and three are from very different backgrounds and reveal the reach of the testimony of Jesus Christ. Mary had seven demons cast out of her which reveals she was from a rough and hard life, definitely not being embraced by the worldly refined society. Jaonna was the wife of someone important enough to be over the administrative affairs of Herod. She was definitely among the worldly refined. Then there was Susanna and many other women who were part of those contributing to the ministry of Jesus. The testimony of Jesus Christ reached the ears of every imaginable sector of society. They were all united in Jesus, and their background didn’t matter because the only purpose was serving Him.
Today, society is definitely united in a single purpose, but it is not Jesus Christ who unites them. In fact, they are united by the thing that is hostile to the teachings of the Bible, discards the need for Jesus Christ, and despise Christianity. Every sector of society is united by the same thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which comes through the thing that has power over physiology. They are serving the mark of the beast in the name of humanism. Where are all of the women who contribute to the ministry of Jesus Christ? They are in the same place of the men who devote themselves to the ministry of Christ. They are being afflicted and prevented from contributing to the ministry of sharing the good news of Salvation through the forgiveness of sin, which Jesus Christ offers.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
