God makes a covenant to find a wife/Church for his Son Jesus Christ. God made a covenant through Jesus Christ to bring Salvation to the whosoever, which went outside of His own people, the Jewish people. Those who come to God through Jesus Christ is His wife, the Church, and each individual person is the Church of the Holy Spirit. That is represented when Abraham made a covenant with his servant to find a wife for his son. The wife would not be among those with whom he lives, the same as the wife/Chruch of Jesus Christ would not be with the Israelites whom God had always lived with, as the Holy Spirit speaks here, “Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you take an oath by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;” Genesis 24:1-3 God had dwelled with the Israelites throughout the pages of the Old Testament, but the wife/Church of Jesus was by the New Covenant and outside the boundaries of the Jewish nation. God’s country is within the minds and hearts of those who live for Jesus Christ, “…but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.” Genesis 24:

The Church of Christ is not for the purpose of this world, but for the New Jerusalem. Jesus Christ does not establish His wife/Church for the benefit of this world, His wife/Church is for the benefit of Jesus Christ. In other words, churches are on the wrong path to follow the community family frame of mind in an effort to create a better world. The churches are on the right the path to follow Jesus Christ into the eternal home of the New Jerusalem, “And the servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I take your son back to the land from which you came?” Genesis 24:5 Jesus Christ gave His life on the Cross to free us from the sin of this world, and He will not be held captive to the ways of this world, “But Abraham said to him, “Beware that you do not take my son back there.” Genesis 24:6 The promise land is not the global democracy created by those who govern by the mark of the beast in the name of humanism, and the churches must not buy into that earthly hype. The land that is given to Abraham’s seed, his seed being the Church of Jesus Christ, is the new heaven and new earth of the New Jerusalem. Christ’s wife/Church is taken from among those who have the promise of the inheritance within their heart, who is the Holy Spirit. “The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your seed I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.” Genesis 24:7

The wife/Church of Jesus Christ are those who choose to follow Him. The covenant was made as summarized in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” If we refuse to follow Jesus Christ, then God will have nothing more to do with us as His wife/Church. Jesus will never be part of the ways of this world, “And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be released from this oath; only do not take my son back there.” So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.” Genesis 24:8-9 Jesus Christ came with all the authority of God, and He had everything committed to Him to find His wife/Church. The camels were with Him, which would soon drink from the waters of life given to them at the hand of His wife/Church. “Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, for all his master’s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.” Genesis 24:10

Christ looks for a wife/Church willing to serve Him by sharing the Water of Life. When Jesus Christ came, there were multitudes of people thirsting for the Water of Life which He was offering. They were on this earth kneeling and ready to be watered, as represented here, “And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water.” Genesis 24:11 There were plenty going to draw water from the churches of the Pharisees and Sadducees, but would any be willing to draw from the water He offers? Jesus Christ was constantly praying the will of His Father be done, which was to bring Salvation to establish the Church, His wife, “Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.” Genesis 24:12 Jesus Christ is looking for a wife/Church that is not wanting to take away from Him, that is what the Churches of today does by discarding the need for Him. They serve the mark of the beast in the name of humanism. Jesus is looking for a wife/Church that brings service to Him through the Water of Life and waters the congregation with His Gospel. The camels are those who thirst for righteousness, and the wife/Church of Jesus shares the Word of God. “Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’—let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.” Genesis 24:13-14

The wife/Church of Christ freely serves Jesus and shares the Water of Life. Today, the thing that has power over physiology is able to create circumstances to fulfill the conditions that are formed in our mind and heart. It serves the mark of the beast not Jesus Christ. Thousands of years ago, God was actually working in that way in the name of the trinity, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ lived His life being guided in that way in the process of establishing His wife/Church. That is represented by the Holy Spirit here, “And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. Now the young woman was very beautiful to behold, a virgin; no man had known her. And she went down to the well, filled her pitcher, and came up. And the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please let me drink a little water from your pitcher.” Genesis 24:15-17 The wife/Church of Jesus Christ is beautiful, has never known anything like Jesus before, which is each one of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit as the Church of God.

The wife/Church of Jesus is easily recognizable by their service to Him. The wife/Church of Jesus Christ is easily recognized because service to Jesus is there, and the Water of Life is served to those who thirst for the Word of God. “So she said, “Drink, my lord.” Then she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink. And when she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.” Then she quickly emptied her pitcher into the trough, ran back to the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. And the man, wondering at her, remained silent so as to know whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not.” Genesis 24:18-21 Jesus Christ was able to see the fruit of His labor as his wife/Church began to take root before His eyes.

The wife/Church of Christ is married Him by the internal presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is ready to bond us together as His own as soon as we enter into His service to share His Gospel. He bonds us to Him as He enters into our home, our body, and marries us through the Holy Spirit. We only have to declare that we are His and to make room for Him in our mind and heart. The Holy Spirit represents that here, “So it was, when the camels had finished drinking, that the man took a golden nose ring weighing half a shekel, and two bracelets for her wrists weighing ten shekels of gold, and said, “Whose daughter are you? Tell me, please, is there room in your father’s house for us to lodge?” Genesis 24:22-23 As we make room for Jesus within our heart, we declare we have food for the soul, which is God’s Word, “So she said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, Milcah’s son, whom she bore to Nahor.” Moreover she said to him, “We have both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge.” Genesis 24:24-25

God made His wife/Church to prosper under the hand of Jesus Christ. That is what His death, resurrection, and ascension is all about, to reconcile us to God by the forgiveness of sin. In the name of Jesus, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and become the wife/Church of Jesus Christ. “Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord. And he said, “Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.”  Genesis 24:26-27 As the wife/Church of Jesus Christ, we want to share the Good News, “So the young woman ran and told her mother’s household these things.” Genesis 24:28

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
