- Jesus heals the servants and downtrodden within this world.
People seek those who can heal their sick loved ones. Jesus has just finished what is known as the Sermon on the Mount, and He went into Capernaum, “Now when He concluded all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum.” Luke 7:1 Multitudes of people would do anything to see the healing of someone who means a lot to them, especially if the sick person was about to die. Many people even travel to other states or other countries to find a doctor who would be able to help. That is what a Roman Centurion did, who commands a hundred soldiers, “And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die. So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant.” Luke 7:2-3 Unfortunately, the masses of people chase after the healings of the thing that has power over physiology, but has little idea of who Jesus is, “And I saw one of its heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and its deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.” Revelation 13:3
Many seek healings on their merit of patriotism and community contributions. The people begging on behalf of the military officer thought he was deserving on the merit of loving the nation and building a church. That is exactly the foundation that this world is built on, materialism, economic development, and patriotism to those who govern by the mark of the beast in the name of humanism. Nowadays, the national guard and other military branches are routinely given the image of helping with charitable causes, “And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.” Luke 7:4-5 We are fortunate no one has to stand at the end of the line, behind the prestigious, to receive healing of the soul. Jesus Christ already knew the healing He was about to do was for the deathly ill servant. Unfortunately, the Roman Centurion did not want Jesus to enter into His house, “Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.” Luke 7:6 That is how it is today, people want the physical healings that come through the mark of the beast but do not want Jesus to be a part of their life. Jesus wants to enter our home, the body, to make us the home of the Holy Spirit, but the thing that has power over physiology wants to make us the seat of government for the mark of the beast.
Worldly authority is not the source of healings, but only faith in the name of Jesus Christ. The military commander compared his authority to the authority of Jesus Christ, and at that time the majority of His own followers thought He would rule over an earthly nation. The national guard nor global “peace-keeping” forces will heal this world, but only faith in Jesus heals. The Centurion said something that Jesus Christ would give a whole new meaning to than what the Roman Centurion could ever dream of, “But say the word, and my servant will be healed.” “Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Luke 7:7-8 That is the faith that Jesus Christ is looking for, that at His word healings happen, it is a faith that the Pharisees, Sadducees, nor Israel had. “When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” Luke 7:9 Today, the masses live by humanism empowered by the mark of the beast, and they have faith in nothing beyond human rationale, and they throw out any Divine beliefs. They put a lot of faith in military forces, national guard, etc. which are wrapped in the clothing of humanism, in the name of healing communities and nations. Which includes disarming individuals of their guns to heal the violence in society.
Jesus heals the servants and downtrodden within this world. I’m sure the delegation sent by the Roman Centurion expected Jesus to send a delegation to his house to do some type healing ceremony, as implied when he said, “For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” What a shocking surprise it would be to witness a healing without a delegation being sent and without the mobilization of soldiers, no national guard, no military, just the word of Jesus Christ, “And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well.” Luke 7:10 Jesus Christ came to heal the servants and all those He mentioned in His Sermon on the Mount in Luke 6, in Isaiah 61 and all other such people. His death, resurrection, and ascension were for one purpose, to atone for sin and give us eternal life. To seek bodily healing instead of Salvation of Jesus Christ is to sell the soul to the mark of the beast. “…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
