Jesus Restores the Ability to Help Others Come to God in His Name, and the Churches Oppose

Luke 6:6-11

  • The churches do not want the withered hand healed.
  • Is there an unwritten law against the churches helping others live for Christ?
  • The churches become enraged at the healing of the withered hand.

The churches do not want the withered hand healed. “Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.” Luke 6:6 The hand symbolizes doing things and the right hand is the power hand, such as in the phrase, “right hand person.” It is disheartening to see a person whose right hand is withered within the congregation of the churches. That symbolizes the inability of the congregation to assist others in coming to God through Jesus Christ and helping one another to walk by the teachings of the Bible. Would Jesus Christ want our withered right-hand to be healed? The scribes and Pharisees watched Him very closely, waiting to accuse Him of violating their rules by healing the man’s hand, “So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.” Luke 6:7 Their churches are not there to praise the name of Jesus Christ. Today, the churches are dominated by those who live for the mark of the beast, and they are vigilant against those who help others to live for the testimony of Jesus.

Is there an unwritten law against the churches helping others live for Christ? The churches are never going to come out and admit that they have discarded the need for Jesus Christ, but it is obvious that they embrace humanism empowered by the mark of the beast. Jesus Christ knows their malicious intent towards the message of the Cross, “But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Arise and stand here.” And he arose and stood.” Luke 6:8 Of all places, the Sunday churches should be eager to bring Salvation of life through Jesus, and to do the good that God has ordained us to do. Unfortunately, in today’s churches there is a huge question mark, is it lawful to do good and save a life? That is the question Jesus asked the scribes and Pharisees, “Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” Luke 6:9 It’s evil to embrace the community family frame-of-mind while tossing out the Gospel of Christ.

The churches become enraged at the healing of the withered hand. “And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored.” Luke 6:10 Jesus Christ looks around at the churches and sees their opposition to helping others to come to God in His name, yet He still heals. He heals individual people who are not part of the Christless churches and restores a desire to help others to walk in the name of Jesus. The churches walk hand-in-hand with the Christless attitudes of the world, and they are enraged when people are helping other people to live by the teachings of the Bible, “But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.” Luke 6:11 The churches and humanism are the “two horns like a lamb” of the beast, as in the mark of the beast, “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.” Revelation 13:11 With churchy sounding words, their intent is to make the human body the seat of government for the mark of the beast, and to oppose those who devote their body as the home of the Holy Spirit, “…it opposes and exalts itself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that it sits in the temple of God, showing itself that it is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
