Where would many of us be without the writings within the Bible? We would be ridiculed, mocked, ignored, and physically afflicted without any explanation for it. There would not be a path paved leading to the Cross where we come to Jesus Christ and find a reason and purpose to our life.
Without the Bible there would not be a hint of explanation for the thing that has power over physiology and is able to form our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and words. Because of the Scriptures, we see it is enabling the image of the beast to live and speak through people. We see that by what they say and do they are hostile to human decency, trample on the Holy Spirit, discard Jesus Christ, and deny the reality of God. By what they say and do, they are conformed to their place in life. They are conformed to their mark in life as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.
While this world has grossly deviated from the teachings of the Bible, the birth of the Gospel of Christ involved faithful followers of Jesus who have made the Holy Scriptures possible, “…many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us…” Luke 1:1
The Bible is written by eyewitnesses of actual events and also by people who are recording events as told by eyewitnesses, “…just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us.” Luke 1:2 Either way, all of the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Bible is the only source by which we come to know God and Jesus Christ.
It might be interesting to note that Matthew and John were two of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus and are the writers of the Gospel of Matthew and John. The other two Gospels were written by Mark and Luke, which were very close companions of the Apostle Paul. Matthew and John are eyewitnesses to the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. Mark and Luke received their information from eyewitnesses of the events of Jesus Christ, and they wrote the Gospel of Mark and Luke.
Luke wrote the book of Acts and was continually surrounded by Apostles. The Apostles are those who are eyewitnesses to the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, as well as to His teachings. Luke also wrote the Gospel of Luke to give us certainty about Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world and only Son of God. “…it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.” Luke 1:3-4 The Bible is the only reliable account of the work of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
