From the very beginning, faith in God was to bring a better world by relating to one another in the Spirit of Christ. More than bringing better social harmony, it’s a faith that brings eternal life. Of all the offerings that a person might bring to God, faith is the only one that pleases God, and that faith is to come to Jesus Christ who makes atonement for sin. Faith in God gives us a desire to prepare ourselves and others for the hardships and tribulations that are in the world today and are to come That preparation is to know the Salvation we have in the name of Jesus and to be set apart from the Christless world. Global chaos intensifies from day-to-day and is in every city around the world, but people can be saved when the Gospel message is shared.
- Faith that Brings Something Better to God.
- Faith that Brings Eternal Life.
- Faith is the Only Offering that Pleases God.
- Faith to Prepare Others for Salvation.
Faith that Brings Something Better to God.
“By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts;
and through it he being dead still speaks.
Hebrews 11:4
A comparison is made between Able’s faith and Cain’s. Cain’s is summed up in his question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” We would all hope the answer to that question is “Yes,” especially when we see a doctor, do our banking, rely on teachers to watch the children, relying on politicians, making change at the check-outs, etc. Obviously, the world today is more like Cain who murdered his brother, which is breaking down society from every direction. By faith in God, Able offered a much better sacrifice, he gave his best to God. The better faith in God is able to shape the world with love for each other through Jesus Christ. “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.” 1 John 4:19-21
Faith that Brings Eternal Life.
“By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death,
“and was not found, because God had taken him”;
for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”
Hebrews 11:5
When our faith pleases God, we will be taken to be with Him forever. Pleasing God means to accept His Son as the sacrifice made for the forgiveness of sin. There is no better faith than to believe the promises of God that when we die, we will be taken into the presence of God, to live eternally in Paradise. We do not want to be found among the people whose faith is placed in those who govern by the mark of the beast. They have no hope beyond this life. The world we followers of Christ live in is formed by a faith that when we are taken from this life, we will enter eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Faith is the Only Offering that Pleases God.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6
Faith is the only way to please God, to believe that He is, and to believe His Son Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of His word to restore fellowship with Him. The reward for diligently seeking God is eternal life by the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross for the atonement of sin. We can seek God through the pages of the Bible and this world is formed by that faith, which is said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
In today’s Christless world, there is no faith in the Deity of God, there is no belief that He exists, and there is no expectation of receiving eternal rewards through Jesus Christ. It is a world following the path of Cain, with no belief in the life to come, and globally there is lawlessness everywhere.
Faith to Prepare for Salvation.
“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with Godly fear,
prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world
and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.”
Hebrews 11:7
There are plenty of things in the world today that gives us reason to be moved with Godly fear. Global warming and all of its side effects will destroy this world (Revelation 16:8-10). The mark of the beast is in this world as described by Revelation 13, and the world is filled with hatred, violence, and blaspheme of God. The global democracy is coming into existence by the masses of people who are rioting and protesting on behalf of the mark of the beast (Daniel 8:12 and Daniel 11:23). Faith is to prepare according to the Word of God by sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ and to focus on the eternal city of the New Jerusalem. Faith moves us with a Godly fear to make known God’s Salvation that comes through Jesus Christ. Believing God and proclaiming Salvation through Jesus makes us righteous which is by our faith. Our world is formed by the belief in the soon coming Day of the Lord and the need to be saved at the Cross of Christ.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
