Human Priest Compared to Jesus Christ the High Priest

Hebrews 5:1-11

The Scripture in this post draws a comparison between human priests selected by people, and the Divine Priest selected by God, Jesus Christ. By His death on the Cross, Christ opens the curtain and brings us into the presence of God, “And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” Mark 15:37-38 Jesus Christ makes our body the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we take our eyes off of Jesus and look towards people to bring us to God, then we will be deceived to follow a false angel of light with people masquerading as ministers of righteousness. “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 Those false ministers of righteousness intend to transform our body into the seat of government for the mark of the beast.

The Holy Spirit wants us to know why the Deity of Jesus Christ is the way to God and not the human priests.

Satan, through the mark of the beast, is disguised as an angel of light and its followers masquerading as ministers of righteousness. Today, many in the churches have assumed the role behind the pulpit, and as teachers and leaders of the congregation, but they have taken their eyes off the Deity of Jesus Christ while claiming to be ministers of righteousness. They are leading their congregation to the thing that has power over physiology with the ability to form thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors. Those false ministers of righteousness are serving the mark of the beast in the name of humanism. They turn people, the temple of God, into the seat of government for the mark of the beast. Jesus Christ is the only legitimate High Priest over the temple of God, our body, who makes us the temple of the Holy Spirit.

From the chart below, there are some distinct differences between Jesus Christ as Priest over our body and the human priests apart from Jesus.

Jesus Christ as High Priest Human Beings as Priests Apart from Christ
Selected and appointed by the eternal God.Selected and appointed by humans through
the mark of the beast, they do not believe in Deity.
Has fleshly feelings and emotions.Has artificial feelings and emotions through the thing
that has power over physiology.
Prayers and supplications with vehement crying and tears for lost souls.Offers gits, possessions, money, etc. to atone for sin as is
the practice of humanism to reward with money and possessions
Prays to the Divine God of eternal life.Only believes in prayer for human needs such as possessions,
money, etc. They pray to the worldly god that has power over physiology.
Jesus Christ possessed Godly fear.Humanistic priests have human fears which keep them subjected to the
will of those who govern by the mark of the beast.
Honor and glory given to GodHonor goes to the humanistic god which they serve.
Learned obedience through sufferings, which brings sanctification.Learns obedience through sensual comforts and fleshly rewards
as administered by the thing that has power over physiology.
Author of eternal Salvation to those who obey.Their salvation is to deal gently with the ignorant and wayward
in exchange for obedience to the mark of the beast, with
no belief in eternal Salvation through Jesus Christ.
King and priest over the temple of God, our body. They want to establish the human body as the seat of government for the mark of the beast.

Human Beings as Priests.
These Scriptures are written for the purpose of showing that the Deity of Jesus Christ is the Priest appointed by God, compared to the shortcomings of human priests. Humans have inherited sin and have never, in the history of humanity, been able to open the curtain that brings us into the presence of God, “Because of this (human priests) is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins.” Human priests have as much sin as everyone else, only Jesus Christ is sinless. Human priests offer up things of this world, such as gifts and sacrifices for sins, but Jesus Christ offers up Himself. Human priests, being full of sin, are sympathetic and gentle to those living in sin, Jesus Christ comes to sanctify us in His name. Human priests are chosen by other sinful people, but Jesus Christ is appointed by the Divine God.

“For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God,
that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
He can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray,
since he himself is also subject to weakness.
Because of this he is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins.
And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.”
Hebrews 5:1-4

Jesus Christ as High Priest.
There were kings and there were high priests, but Melchizedek was a king and a high priest to whom Abraham gave 1/10th of his tithes. This is the same Abraham who is the Father of all Believers. Jesus is compared to Melchizedek as being a King and High Priest to whom even Abraham brings honor to. Jesus was, “called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek.”

God called Jesus His Son to verify Jesus as being the High Priest over the temple of God, our body. The Deity of Jesus Christ is the eternal High Priest. It would be blasphemy to refer to a human minister as the Son of God. Jesus Christ had human feelings and emotions sanctified in the desire for people to reconcile to God. He identifies with what we are going through in this year 2022. Today, the thing that has power over physiology has turned people into human robots with artificial emotions and feelings. Jesus prays to a Divine eternal God, not to a humanistic god empowered by the mark of the beast. Human suffering is the process that leads to sanctification to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ experienced the same process and remained sinless. Jesus Christ possessed Godly fear to live right with God, not human fears to live right with the ways of the world. Jesus Christ is the author of our Salvation, which no human being can lay claim to that position.

“So also, Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:
“You are My Son, today I have begotten You.” As He also says in another place:
“You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek”; who, in the days of His flesh,
when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears
to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His Godly fear,
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”
of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.”
Hebrews 5:5-11

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
