Matthew 7:24-29
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine,” Matthew 7:24a
The sayings that Jesus Christ is referring to are those of His sermon on the Mount [Mount of Beatitudes]. Those sayings begin in Matthew chapter 5 and stretch through Matthew 7. Three full chapters. A list of those sayings is listed in the table at the bottom of this post. Those who receive His sayings within the heart and soul are like a wise person who built a house on solid foundation. Those who turn a deaf ear to those sayings are like a foolish person that builds a house on the instability of sand.
“…and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24b-25
The Rock that a wise person builds on is Jesus Christ. He is the Anchor of our soul and the Rock of our Salvation and the solid foundation upon which we build our heart and soul, “Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation…this hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,” Psalms 95:1, Hebrews 6:19
The Cross is where the Rock of our foundation begins to be laid from within us. At the Cross, we are able to repent of all the spiritual corruption that weakens us from the inside. We repent of our unbelief and are reconciled to the Spirit of God. In that repentance, Christ Jesus forgives us of our sins, and we begin to be rebuilt from within our heart and soul, to strengthen us in the Spirit. “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him;” Exodus 15:2
As our sins are put into remission, the Holy Spirit becomes part of who we are, and the righteousness of Jesus Christ is given life within us. That righteousness is the Rock on which we build our house, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthains 3:16 We know we have the Holy Spirit when we do not speak against Jesus and we say that He is Lord, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3
Because of the Cross, we understand that hardships, difficulties, afflictions, and persecutions are part of our walk with our Lord Jesus. Our house is able to stand amidst the storms, the rains, the floods, and the winds, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.” 1 Peter 4:12-16
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18 The return of Jesus Christ is more evident today than at any time in the history of humanity. When He returns, He will resurrect us from our graves and give us an eternal home in the New Jerusalem. Thsoe who are still alive when He comes will be brought into the New Jerusalem along with us, just a split second after we are resurrected, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
“…Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end…that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Hebrews 3:6, Ephesians 4:14-16
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:26-27
People who ignore that the Kingdom of God is within us by faith in Jesus Christ are like a foolish person who builds a house on sand. The Holy Spirit within us is the guarantee of our inheritance of eternal life in the New Jerusalem, but if our spirit and soul becomes sand then the Holy Spirit is not in us and we will not inherit eternal life, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14

Today, the spirit of people is being turned to sand. Sand has very little value for growing crops and has practically no water, as seen in the picture directly above. In today’s culture, the heart and soul of people are being turned into sand where belief in God the Creator does not grow, the Gospel seed is not planted and cultivated, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit do not blossom. That is being done on purpose to make people a conduit of the beast that gives people what to say, do, think, and feel. The beast cannot exist in the presence of the Holy Spirit and Water of Life. Like microchips that are made of sand to be a conduit that gives life to all sorts of technology, the human being is made to be the chip that becomes the processor of the beast that is given breath/life to speak by speaking and living through people, click for a post on building on the sand created within the human spirit.
Building a life on the sand of the heart and soul is to choose to be a processor chip for the beast that lives and speaks through them and is like a person that builds a house on the sands of a shoreline. The rain will descend, the floods come, and the winds blow and beats on that house; and it falls. And great is its fall. The computer mainframe of the beast [the power center of the beast] will be plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. At that time, the global culture of the beast will no longer be able to process the empowerment given to them by the beast. No longer will they have uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and talents, amazing physical abilities, uncanny authority over others, etc. They have the day of judgment coming, and all who serve the beast today will face the judgment beyond the grave, “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it… And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelations 20:11, 15
There is repentance for unbelief, and it is found at the Cross of Jesus Christ who forgives the sins of anyone who puts their faith in Him. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24
The images directly below combine to symbolize how physiology is turned to sand and then we become the processor chip through which the beast operates through a person’s thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors.

The government of the beast builds its foundations on the sand of the global culture, and the global culture dominates in every city around the world. That is the global government of the beast. The global government is building on sand that is destined to fall as the rains descend, the floods come, and the winds blow. Global warming is instrumental in plunging the power center of the beast into darkness and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. The great fall of the government of the beast comes through the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, 11, and also the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and also the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16. The collapse of the world system of the beast is described in Revelations 17.
The United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14 and also Revelations 17.
What is coming to this present world system of the beast is a warning for all of us not to serve the beast that uses people as a processor by giving what to say, do, think, and feel. Believe in God, place faith in Jesus Christ, and embrace the presence of the Holy Spirit. “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself will also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelations 14:9-11
