“Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!” Isaiah 44:21
The Lord wants the Jewish people to remember these;
- That they are His servants: “This is the covenant created by God, “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you will be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you will be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” Exodus 19:5-6
- That He has formed them: For the origins of the Israelites and how the Lord formed them, click here for the post from Ezkiel 16:1-22.
- That they will not be forgotten. Christ Jesus was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, so certainly God has not forgotten them. Also, the twelve Apostles of Jesus were all Israelites. Paul was also an Israelite. While they have not obeyed His voice and kept His covenant, made through Jesus Christ, anyone of them can come to Him at any time, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13
Paul speaks these words about how God has not forgotten the Jewish people, “I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”? But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Romans 11:1-4
As described in Ezekiel 39, a remnant of the Jewish people will come to God through Jesus Christ in the day after the Battle of Armageddon.
“I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22
Christ Jesus came to bring the Good News of repentance towards God and forgiveness for unbelief. He was nailed to the Cross, where He was crucified until death, and at that time the atonement for sin was completed. He came as the Lamb of God, the final sacrifice for blotting out sin. The sins of the Jewish people, along with everyone else, are like a thick cloud, but the Lord says, “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet,they will be
as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they will be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14
The Spirit of the Lord speaks these words to the Jewish people and every person on all seven continents of the planet, “Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” Every single person on this earth has been redeemed through Jesus Christ; it is only up to us to accept that redemption by believing in Him, “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:12-13
“Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.” Isaiah 44:23
Amen! So be it.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come...
I am coming soon.
Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.’”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
