“Behold, the Lord God will come with a strong hand, and His arm will rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.” Isaiah 40:10

The Lord God will come with a strong hand. The first time that the Lord God came was through Christ Jesus, His strong hand. Jesus says, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father; ” John 14:9 The Lord God sent Jesus with a strong hand to bring Salvation and the reward of eternal life is with Him, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Jesus Christ is the arm that rules on behalf of God. Jesus says, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18 Jesus says that the work of the Lord is this, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 6:29

“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.” Isaiah 42:1

The Lord God is coming again with a strong hand, and that is at the return of Christ Jesus. “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me…” Revelations 22:12 Our Lord Jesus rules as the King of kings and Lord of lords, “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelations 19:16 This is the reward, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 When He returns, the work before Him will be every one of us who has come to God, through Him, in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

“He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.” Isaiah 40:11

Christ Jesus is the Good Shepherd who feeds His flock with the word of God and the Holy Spirit, as Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd.” John 10:11 He gathers everyone one of us with His arm and carries us near to His heart. He gently leads with a meek and gentle spirit of peace. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthe w11:29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; neither will anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28

How can we know if we have the Holy Spirit? If we do not speak against Jesus and say that He is Lord, we have the Holy Spirit, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3
