Sennacherib’s ambassador implores Hezekiah to surrender in exchange for an earthly Garden of Eden.

Sennacherib’s ambassador, knowing Hezekiah’s army was inadequate, requests Hezekiah’s surrender.

 “Now therefore, I urge you, give a pledge to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses—if you are able on your part to put riders on them! How then will you repel one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen?” Isaiah 36:8-9

In the Spirit, we understand that some people want us to be “friends” but on their terms. Their idea of reconciliation is for us to surrender the life we have in Jesus Christ and to befriend their unbelief in God the Creator, their rejection of Jesus Christ, and in not wanting the Holy Spirit to be part of who we are.

A pledge was a promise, agreement, and even worldly resources given in exchange for favorable relations with someone. Sennacherib’s ambassador, in charge of a great military, implored Hezekiah’s messengers to make a pledge to the king of Assyria, who was Sennacherib. That pledge would be the unconditional surrender of Hezekiah, the king of Judah, to the Assyrians. Today, we live in a world that sees the way of Jesus Christ as already being defeated and they urge our surrender. They live by the power of darkness that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel and expect us to surrender to the beast that gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. Today’s culture, which is global, wants to see the pledge of our conformity to the mark, name, number of the beast.

In exchange for Hezekiah’s unconditional surrender, he was promised 2000 horses as an extension of the Assyrian’s forces. The ambassador of Sennacherib knew that the armed forces of Hezekiah were weak and mocked that Hezekiah probably didn’t even have 2000 horsemen to ride the 2000 horses. Those representing Hezekiah were taunted with the realization that they would not be able to defend themselves against the weakest part of the Assyrian army. Hezekiah’s representatives were further mocked for putting their trust in Egypt for armed forces. Sennacherib’s ambassadors were making fun of Hezekiah’s dependence on a foreign military that would not be able to help them.

As we see in the world today, “rebel” military forces are outlawed by international laws through the United Nations. The powerful military forces of the world use their military capabilities to keep “rogue” armed forces defeated. That is done in the name of combatting “terroristic” threats and “dangerous” countries with nuclear weapons or developing nuclear weapons. Nations that are not a “threat” to the global order of peace and security are allowed to have a military to help defend against “lawlessness”. The world powers, through the international laws of the United Nations, are saying a similar thing to what Sennacherib’s messenger was saying to Hezekiah, “Now therefore, I urge you, give a pledge to the global government of the beast, and I will give you two thousand horses…” Nations are defenseless and weak without the support of the world powers working through the international laws of the United Nations. To form a military alliance, outside the international laws, is met with force by the political and military powers of the world.

The assembly of the United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14 and also Revelations 17.

Today, the United Nations already has a global military, consisting of about 80,000 to 85,000 military troops stationed in countries around the world. They are called “peacekeeping personnel”. They are equipped with rifles, pistols, armored vehicles, mortars, machine guns, tear gas, rubber bullets, drones and cameras for surveillance, communication satellite devices, etc. When the United Nations become the undisputed one world government of the beast, they will have a powerful global military to call their own.

Sennacherib’s ambassador implores the population of Judah not to trust the Lord for deliverance.

“Have I now come up without the Lord against this land to destroy it? The Lord said to me, ‘Go up against this land, and destroy it.’” Isaiah 36:10

The ambassador of Sennacherib boasted that he had come against the land of Judah to destroy it, without the Lord. Then he says that the Lord told him to destroy the land of Judah. Then in verse 15 of this post he says, “…nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us…” That shows how indifferent the Assyrian government was to the Living God. They mocked belief in God by saying they could defeat the people of God without God, then they tell the representatives of the land of Judah that God told the Assyrians to destroy Judah, then tries to convince the people of Judah not to listen to Hezekiah who encouraged them to trust in the living God.

We live in a culture today that intends to destroy the way of Jesus Christ, and to drive Christianity into extinction, as described in the post on Revelations 12. They claim to not need the Lord as they oppose belief in God the Creator, discard the need for Jesus Christ, and do not want the presence of the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. They are hiding in the darkness, thinking that what they are doing will go undetected and never come to light. However, the word of God is the Light that shines into darkness. The blueprint of everything the government of the beast is doing and intends to do is written in the Bible. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:5

Today’s culture of the beast boasts in their attitude and behavior that the Lord is telling them to conquer the world. They claim that their humanitarian principles is the pathway to salvation for humanity and the planet. They talk about doing what Jesus would want them to do, but they are living by another Gospel which is not the Gospel of Christ at all. “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:6-8 They have a form of Godliness but deny the power of Jesus Christ and reject the message of the Cross. They are living by for the power of darkness, through the beast that has power over physiology to give people what to say, do, think, and feel…that is their god that is telling them what to do. That is the beast that sits in the temple of God, our body, as if is God, and is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.

“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God….the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 3:3, John 14:17

Then Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it; and do not speak to us in Hebrew in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.” Isaiah 36:11

Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah were the representatives of Hezekiah who went to hear the message of Sennacherib, the king of Assyria. That message was delivered through the Rabshakeh, one of the chief governors and military leaders of the Assyrians.

The representatives of Hezekiah were Hebrew but didn’t want the Assyrian ambassador to speak to them in Hebrew. They wanted him to speak in Aramaic; they were able to understand and speak the Aramaic language. Aramaic was the language that diplomats and ambassadors used but not popular among the general population of Hebrews. The representatives of Hezekiah did not want the general population to be exposed to the propaganda of the Assyrian ambassador. The Rabshakeh had already spoken words that exalted the worldly power of the Assyrians above the living God, vowed to destroy the land of Judah, and claimed that the Lord had told them to destroy Judah.

Hezekiah’s representatives did not want the Rabshakeh’s propaganda to be heard by the general population of Hebrews, the grassroots level of Israelites in Judah. Today, the governing representatives of the government of the beast speaks everyone’s language in cities, states, and nations on all seven continents of the world. Their only purpose is to put forth propaganda that highlights the need for the global government. They constantly speak of the need for the salvation of humanity and the planet as they emphasize the importance of community unity and an attitude of a global family. They emphasize the goals within the “Sustainable Development Goals”. At the same time, they progress forward by purging the global culture of belief in God the Creator, purging the realization of sin and the need for Christ Jesus, and silencing and expression of the Holy Spirit. People are implored to live by the beast that has power over physiology to give them what to say, do, think, and feel. That beast is their false Christ and false prophet. For the propaganda to be heard by all the world, there is a television in every home, social media, movies, etc. that are tools of the government of the beast.

“But the Rabshakeh said, “Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, who will eat and drink their own waste with you?” Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and said, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!” Isaiah 36:12-13

The Rabshakeh refused to speak only in Aramaic, but wanted all of the Hebrew people to understand what the was saying…so he spoke in Hebrew. The Rabshakeh said that the message he brought was not to be kept secret within Hezekiah’s inner circle but was to be heard by the grassroots population. Those who sat on the wall would be the first to experience the devastation of any invasion that was to come. The Rabshakeh wanted to make sure that the message was heard by the people who would be impacted the hardest by rejection of Sennacherib’s demand for surrender. In Hebrew, he shouted in a loud voice, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!“

We see a lot of riots and protests in cities, states, and even organized as a whole nation around the world. Those riots and protests arise from the propaganda being distributed by the government of the beast. Propaganda is being shouted to the grassroots population who would be most affected by the devastation portrayed in the distributed propaganda. They are those “sitting on the wall”. The masses of people are being synchronized around the world by media sources, but foremost of all by the beast that gives them what to feel, think, say, and do. The purpose is to force cities, states, and nations to conform to the agenda of the global government, to drive forward the establishment of the one world government operating through the Untired Nations. The voice that the world population is hearing is, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of the global government of the beast!“

“Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you; nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” Isaiah 36:14-15

The “king” of this world is the power of darkness that wants to snuff out the Light of Jesus Christ, to snuff out the Light of the Holy Bible. The word of God reveals the blueprint of the government of the beast, reveals the false Christs of the political system, and reveals the false prophets that speak of an earthly Garden of Eden to come. Part of the propaganda of today’s culture is to say, “Do not let Jesus Christ deceive you, He will not be able to deliver you, do not let Him make you believe that the Lord will deliver you, that the city does not belong to the culture of the beast.” They are attacking the core of the Gospel of Christ, which is, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Today’s culture habitually crucifies Christ on a daily basis by afflicting we who make Him Lord. They intend to keep Jesus in a tomb, buried within the graveyard of the soul. Guards are kept around the tomb to prevent Christ Jesus from resurrecting within the heart, soul, and mind of people. Those guards are members of the culture of the beast that lives by what the beast gives them to do, say, think, and feel. The government of the beast intends to keep the global population living in darkness, never to come to the light where they experience the conviction of their sin. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:19-21

Sennacherib’s ambassador promised an earthly Garden of Eden for all who made peace with him.

“Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: ‘Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern; until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.”   Isaiah 36:16-17

The governors of this world are saying not to listen to the word of God but listen to the “king” that has power over physiology to give what to say, do, think, and feel. That beast demands peace be made by giving it a present in the form of people coming out to it. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people and expects people to present themselves as a gift to it. People are being conformed to the mark, name, number of the beast by what they are given to say and do. However, the word of God says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

Instead of living for Jesus Christ, the culture of today have been taught to live for who they are within the earthly physiology of the body. They are told to eat from their own vine and everyone from his own fig tree, and everyone to drink the waters of his own cistern. That keeps them away from God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They are walking by the flesh and not by the Spirit. “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:5-7

Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, promised the people of the land of Judah an earthly promised land, to come and take them away to a land like their own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards. Today, the governors of this present world system are promising the global population an earthly promised land, as outlined in the 17 goals of the “Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations. However, the word of God says this about their earthly Garden of Eden, “A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them…A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness;” Joel 2:2-3

The beast wants to be like God and tries to copy everything He does, except what He gives is temporary and of this world, but what God gives through Jesus Christ is of Heaven and eternal. “He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.” John 3:31

We are to make peace with God through Jesus Christ, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 We devote ourselves to the way of our Lord Jesus, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,” Romans 12:1

We eat from the food of the Spirit as we walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh, as Christ Jesus says, “It is written, ‘Man will not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 We have our life through the Vine, who is our Lord Jesus, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;” John 15:5 We feed from the fruit of the fig tree, which symbolizes the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We drink from the Water of Life, which is given by Christ Jesus in the form of the Holy Spirit, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive;” John 7:38-39

Our Lord Jesus has given us the Comforter and Helper, the Holy Spirit, until His return, “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:15-18 As we come out to our Lord Jesus, He brings us to the eternal land of the New Jerusalem, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,” Hebrews 12:22-24

Through Jesus Christ, we are given grain to feed on, which is the word of God which grows into the Bread of Life to sustain our Spirit and soul. Christ Jesus is the New Wine, which is the New Covenant made with everyone who lives for God through Jesus Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14

The eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem flows with the Water of Life and eternal fruit, “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month.” Revelations 22:1-2

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
