Thorns and briers come up and the palaces are forsaken; the bustling city will be deserted.

“People will mourn upon their breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.” Isaiah 32:12

The breasts being mourned upon belonged to the women who sought their own ambition without God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, as described in the post on Isaiah 32:9-11 The people mourning upon their breasts would be those who were being nursed and comforted by her. As described in the previous post, mentioned in the first sentence, the pleasant fields and fruitful vine of the women were destroyed. Now the people mourn who once were comforted and nourished by her.

In a world where women are placed in places of leadership and authority, on all levels of local, state, national and global structure, the day is coming when it will all wither and fade away. Their pleasant fields and fruitful vine will vanish. That is the day when the global government of the beast collapses, as described in the post on Isaiah 32:9-11, Those of the global culture will mourn, who once was nourished and comforted by the beast giving them what to say, do, think, and feel.

On the land of my people will come up thorns and briers, yes, on all the happy homes in the joyous city…” Isaiah 32:13

Today, we already see the thorns and briers coming up on the land of Israel, once known as a joyous city to the Lord God. Israel has been in 19 wars since the year it was recognized as the State of Israel in 1948. Click for a list of those wars. With that, thorns and briers are coming up against Israel within the assembly of the United Nations, and the global culture in cities around the world riot and protest against the government of the State of Israel. Not to mention the protests and riots of the Israeli citizens themselves against their own government. Those thorns and briers come upon all the happy homes.

Today, we also recognize that this world is the creation of God, His joyous city, as quoted, below,

“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:24-31 Click for a post on Acts 17:22-25.

“Thorns” and “briers” symbolize the human spirit without the Holy Spirit, without the fruit of the Spirit. Anyone living for Jesus Christ today encounters those thorns and briers every day, especially when we speak of the Gospel message. Those thorns and briers come upon all the happy homes. While the thorns and briers have already come upon this land, on a global scale, it will progressively become worse. Those thorns and briers represent lawlessness, and the Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness, but without Him, lawlessness is unleashed, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7 Click for a post on the lawless one.

“Because the palaces will be forsaken, the bustling city will be deserted. The forts and towers will become lairs forever,
A joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks—” Isaiah 32:14

The palaces represent the places of those who govern according to the will of the beast, those places will be forsaken when the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. The bustling city is the global government and its global culture that will have been full of activity worldwide. That bustling city will be deserted, so deserted that the most fortified cities of the government of the beast will be for dens of animals, a joy of wild donkeys, and a pasture for flocks. As we know, animals do not thrive in cities, but the day comes when the most fortified cities will be so desolate that animals make their home there. The desolation of the global government of the beast and its global culture is a result of the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, and 11, the events of the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and the events of the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16.

When this present world system is destroyed, our Lord Jesus returns as the King of kings, and we will enter into the joy of the Lord in the New Jerusalem, “When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!” [When we all get to Heaven].

“Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest.” Isaiah 32:15

That verse mirrors what our Lord Jesus said referring to the tribulation of this world, “And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.” Mark 13:10 The Holy Spirit is given by believing in Jesus, Jesus is heard about through the Gospel message, and the fruitful field that is counted as a forest is the multitude of we who live by faith in our Lord Jesus.

Today, the Holy Spirit has been poured out for all the world to receive by believing in Jesus Christ. We know we have the Holy Spirit when we do not speak against Jesus and we say that He is Lord, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

The wilderness of this world has become a fruitful field with the Gospel of Jesus Christ being everywhere on all seven continents of this planet. That fruitful field became a forest of we who have come to God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our eternal inheritance, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14

Today, there has been a global falling away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as described in the post on 2 Thessalonians 2. That began to happen when the United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14 and also Revelations 17.

When we all get to Heaven, we will see the forest of the fruitful field of Believers from the beginning of creation, “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Revelations 7:9-11

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
