Fear, the pit, and the snare upon the population of the earth.

Isaiah 24:17-18

“Fear and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.” Isaiah 24:17

Those words are spoken to the inhabitants of the earth, which is the global culture of today who serves the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel, “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8 The “him” in that verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.

Today, in their attitude they boast,  “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 But they are unaware of the fear that is upon them. They are unaware because they do not keep God in mind, they ignore the words of Jesus Christ, and they hush the presence of the Holy Spirit. They will know that fear when the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. That is a day of lawlessness, chaos, and economic collapse as the government of the beast and its global culture are powerless. Global warming is already in the world, and is the Fourth Plague revelations 16:8-9. They haven’t a clue what is upon them, and our lord Jesus says to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:2-3

The pit of the destruction of this earth already overshadows them, and in eternity, the pit of eternal hell is their destiny, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself will also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelations 14:9-11

The snare is upon anyone who chooses the beast instead of living for God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. They are caught in the snare of believing a strong delusion as they are empowered with physical comfort, uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary talents and skills, uncanny authority over others, fabricated emotional responses, amazing physical abilities, etc. They have pleasure…pleasure within their unrighteousness, “…according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 Click for a post on that.

“And it will be that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit, and he who comes up from the midst of the pit will be caught in the snare; For the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken.” Isaiah 24:18

The global population will be fleeing from the noise of the fear that is heard worldwide, especially around the time of the Fifth Plague, when the power center of the beast collapses, and as the world becomes “…a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelations 18:2

Those who attempt to flee from the noise of the global tribulation will fall into the pit. That’s because through everything that comes upon them, they still refuse to repent and glorify God through Jesus Christ. There will be no place to flee from the global chaos because social and economic disaster will be in every city around the world. Salvation is only found in the Christ, whose name is Jesus, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Those who find a way up from the pit of this earth’s devastation will be caught in the snare. In other words, what looks like a way around the wrath of God’s judgment only becomes another trap, caught in the snare of sinister schemes. If it sounds too good to be true, in those days of global tribulation, you can be sure it is, “…the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5 Click for a post on Genesis 6.

When God opens the windows from on high, He is unleashing His judgment upon the earth, “For the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken.” The angels of Heaven are the ones God sends to unleash the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, and 11, the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16.
