“Woe to the multitude of many people who make a noise like the roar of the seas, and to the rushing of nations
that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!” Isaiah 17:12

The multitude of many people that makes a noise like the roar of the seas is today’s culture, which is global. They are a collective force that come together like the roar of the seas. They exist in every city around the world. Today, their roar is heard in their protests and riots, about one thing or another, in cities around the world. They will continue to be a loud collective force, in one way or another, to the day of the end of this present world system.

The rushing of the nations refers to the unity of global nations that come together as one force, like a rushing of mighty waters. The United Nations has brought the countries of the world together, which happened in 1945, immediately after World War 2, as described in Daniel 8:1-14. Very soon, the United Nations will become the undisputed one world government. Already, the majority of nations are atheists that have no tolerance for the spread of Christianity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. China and Russia are two of the three most powerful nations, and know no other way but atheism.

The global culture and the global government has their existence through the beast. That beast governs by giving them what to speak, do, think, and feel, which unites them in every city around the world. That is why it is called the government of the beast. We already see the denial of God the Creator on a global basis, the rejection of Jesus Christ worldwide, and people everywhere refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people everywhere. By what they are given to say and do, they are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast.

“The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters; But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, and be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.” Isaiah 17:13

The nations of the beast will rush like the rushing of many waters through the countries and populations around the world, but it doesn’t end well for them. God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, meaning they will have no existence on this earth. They might seem like a mountain of strength today, but they will be like chaff blown away in the wind. They will be like something rolling in the presence of a whirlwind.

Today, we can envision a very strong wind blowing this world apart, blowing the nations away, and blowing the populations of the world away. Nowadays, it seems like every day is a high wind event [with no storms or clouds], like never seen before. If brakes were applied to stop the rotation of the planet, it would be like the brakes being applied on a car, everything would be propelled forward. With the planet, everything would fly forward at a supersonic wind speed of about 1000 miles per hour. The global population would be propelled from the earth at a speed of 1000 miles per hour, no survivors. The earth would be ripped apart, making mountains like chaff blowing in the wind. Not to mention the massive tsunamis on a global scale, moving at 1000 miles per hour.

With global warming [Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9], there is something seriously wrong with the planet, and the Bible provides the answer in every way, as quoted in this one verse, “The earth will reel to and fro like a drunkard, and will totter like a hut; Its transgression will be heavy upon it, and it will fall, and not rise again.” Isaiah 24:20

“Now when [Jesus] got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:23-27

“Then behold, at eventide, trouble! and before the morning, he is no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us,
and the lot of those who rob us.” Isaiah 17:14

Trouble comes at eventide! Which is the end of this present heaven and earth. Morning is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and when we are brought to Him into eternal life in the New Jerusalem of the new heaven and earth. The global government of the beast and its global culture will be no more. That is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us. The “us” is every person who lives for God, through Jesus Christ, and in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
