“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Acts 2:36

The Jewish people had their hand in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and to this day the Jewish culture rejects Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. In modern times, the Jewish people have suffered the Holocaust and within the State of Israel they have been in 19 wars since the day Israel was established as a state in 1948. Click here for a list of those wars. If the Jewish people would have accepted Jesus as their Christ and Lord 2000 years ago, the Holocaust and the State of Israel would have never existed. That’s because as Christians, we do not have a country, race, or nationality on this earth to call our own, our country is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth [consisting of people from all around the world].

“Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Acts 2:37

The question the Jewish people should be asking is the same question everyone without Jesus Christ should be asking, “What shall we do?

“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39

Peter said to the Jewish people, “Repent…” I’ve talked to people who have asked me in a mocking way, “Repent from what?” We all need to repent from unbelief in God, repent of rejection of Jesus Christ who forgives unbelief, and repent of fighting against the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life. From that repentance, we are baptized into Jesus Christ, not the water baptism of John the Baptist. Through Jesus, there is the remission of sin and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This promise of the Holy Spirit is for whoever comes to God through Jesus Christ, any gender, any nationality, any race, any country, anyone.

“He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
