“Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” Isaiah 5:21
Being wise in our own eyes is to trust our own reasoning to solve problems and the problems of of the world. People believe that by using their own careful judgment, foresight, and good sense they can make a way through life. In their own wisdom and prudence, they decide that belief in God, the forgiveness of sin through Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is not rational and makes no sense for the world we live in today. That describes humanism, which is the fig leaf worn by those who serve the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. Humanism is “an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems.“
The members of the United Nations [global government of the beast] have developed the “Sustainable Development Goals”. Those goals are a fruit of those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight. Their faith is in the careful judgment, foresight, and good sense of human beings to save humanity and the planet from plunging into destruction. However, they discard God who Created the universe, they reject the Savior of the world [Jesus Christ], and oppose the Holy Spirit who restrains lawlessness. Even then, they intend to create an earthly Garden of Eden by their own wisdom and prudence, which is a disaster ready to happen, “A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness…a people come, great and strong…the like of whom has never been…a fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them. And behind them a desolate wilderness…” Joel 2:2-3
Even today, global warming is here, and the wisdom and prudence of human beings cannot come up with a way to turn it back. That’s because global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. “They were seared by the intense heat, and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify Him.” Revelation 16:8-9
Today’s culture uses their wisdom and prudence to build a global family upon dignity, respect, honor, and esteem of each other, but they give no honor to God the Creator. Our Lord Jesus says, “How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” John 5:44
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12
Our own wisdom and prudence cannot save us and can certainly not save the planet, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelations 7:10 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 There is nothing we can do from our own wisdom and prudence because Salvation is a free gift that comes by our faith in Jesus Christ, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
