Israel goes into captivity and the lambs of Jesus Christ feeds in His pasture.

“Therefore my people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge; their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.” Isaiah 5:13

The Jewish people have gone into captivity by their love for their Jewish culture. They love themselves more than they love the Son of God, Jesus Christ. They were supposed to live for Him who taught that there is neither Jew nor Greek in Jesus, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 The Jewish people reject the knowledge that enables them to grow in the grace of Jesus Christ. Their honorable men, who lead through the Old Testament scriptures, are famished within themselves concerning the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given by believing in Jesus Christ. The multitudes of the Jewish people are dried up within the spirit, panting from within for what their spirit needs, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Likewise, the global government and its global culture have gone into captivity. Their captivity is to the beast that governs by giving them what to speak, do, think, and feel. They have no knowledge of living for God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Their “honorable men” are those who lead the population, but they are desolate of belief in God, desolate of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and desolate of the Holy Spirit. The global population is dried up with thirst because the Water of Life, Jesus Christ, is not offered to them.

“Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure; their glory and their multitude and their pomp, and he who is jubilant, will descend into it.” Isaiah 5:14

The Israelites had exclusive access to the Living God, and they called the world around them uncircumcised Gentiles. The Ten Commandments did indeed make the Israelites so much more civilized and righteous in the eyes of God. However, if they ever thought that they would be exempt from Sheol/Hell, they were and are miserably mistaken. Hell has been enlarged and has opened its mouth beyond measure to receive every single Jewish person who rejects Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. Glorifying the Jewish culture above Jesus Christ, glorifying the State of Israel, ceremoniously spotlighting the Jewish heritage over Jesus Christ, and being jubilant in their customs over the way of Jesus Christ will land them in Hell.

“And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12

Hell has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure to receive the global culture that serves the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. They are atheists who deny God, rejects Jesus Christ, and do not want the presence of the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. All of their feelings of dignity, self-esteem, confidence, jubilation, happiness, ceremoniously spotlighting the global family, will not save them. Hell is large enough to receive them all. Salvation comes through our Lord Jesus, who gives all believers eternal life, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24

“People will be brought down, each man will be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty will be humbled. But the Lord of hosts will be exalted in judgment, and God who is holy will be hallowed in righteousness.” Isaiah 5:15-16

Our Lord Jesus is returning and the exalted arrogance of the population of this world will be humbled, and our Lord Jesus Christ will be exalted. “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 The Holiness of God comes against sin and He will exalt His Holiness to bring an end to this present world.

We live in a world where the global culture exalts themselves above the need for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In their exalted arrogance, they proclaim in their attitude and way of being, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 They serve the beast that empowers them within their physiology by giving them what to speak, do, think, and feel. They are given uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and talents, uncanny authority over others, amazing physical abilities, etc. They will be humbled and the power center of the beast will be plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11.

“Then the lambs will feed in their pasture, and in the waste places of the fat ones strangers will eat.” Isaiah 5:17

“Then” refers to when the Jewish culture was humbled the day they rejected Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. They chose to conspire to have our Lord Jesus crucified on the Cross, and as a result of their rejection of Him, God fulfilled His plan to bring Salvation to whoever believes in Him. Now, the lambs feed in the pastures that Jesus has given to us by the forgiveness of sin, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and eternal life. The lambs are His people who confess with our mouth that He is Lord and believe in our heart that He is alive and risen from the dead.

“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:10-13

Today, we see how strangers are eating away at what is left of the fatness of the Jewish culture by eating away at the State of Israel. The strangers of the West Bank and Gaza Strip have eaten away at the territory of Israel, as seen on the maps below. The map on the right is Israel as described in Ezekiel 48, and the map on the left is Israel of today.
