“Shelves” are left bare that are necessary to govern a country.

“For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah; the stock and the store…” Isaiah 3:1a.

The “stock and store” is everything a person or country needs to survive from day to day. This would be like having empty shelves in the shopping malls and grocery stores. The Lord vows to take away everything Israel needs to survive as a nation, not only on the shelves of stores, but everything needed to function as an independent government in the world. This will also happen to the global government of today which affects its global culture.

Below is a list of “shelves” that will be left bare;

• “The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water…” Isaiah 3:1b. Israel will be dependent on the global government for their food and water because they will lose their economic independence to the global economy. Also, to this day, Israel does not have the Bread and Water of Life because they reject Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. Likewise, the economy of the global government will collapse to take away their monopoly of food and water. The collapse of the global economy is described in Revelations 18.
• “The mighty man and the man of war…” Isaiah 3:2a The military capabilities of Israel will be taken away because the nations of the United Nations will make sure of that. The United States will not be there to aid Israel militarily. At one time, the Jewish people had many mighty men and men of war fighting for God, as described in Hebrews 11. However, when they rejected Jesus Christ, their shelves were left bare of those fighting for God through Jesus Christ. Also, the global government of the beast will be powerless to defend themselves on the Day of the Lord, and the Battle of Armageddon is the end of them.
• “…the judge and the prophet. And the diviner and the elder…” Isaiah 3:2b Today, the Jewish people do not have any judges, prophets, diviners, or elders of God in their population. That’s because they do not acknowledge Jesus as being the fulfillment of Bible prophecy nor do they consider Him to be the Judge. In other words, their judgments, prophecies, diviners, and elders are empty talk because “…the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelations 19:10 “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.” John 5:22-23 The judges, prophets, diviners, and elders of the global government has been taken away also. That is obvious because they think global warming can be reversed by the collective action of the global culture, however, global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. “You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:3
• “The captain of fifty and the honorable man…” Isaiah 3:3a Israel will no longer have leaders over the grassroots population and will be without honorable leaders over the people. For starters, they have no one to lead the people through Jesus Christ, also, the Israeli population is receptive to the beast that leads them by giving them what to speak, do, think, and feel. They routinely protest and riot against their government to demand conformity to the agenda of the United Nations. The global government will also lose their global command over the grassroots population when the power center of the beast is destroyed in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:1o-11.
• “The counselor and the skillful artisan, and the expert enchanter.” Isaiah 3:3b Israel has no one to counsel them, no skillful negotiators, no expert diplomats to steer them through their present predicament in today’s world. They are surrounded by enemies on all sides, the majority of the countries of United Nations are against their independence, and the global population constantly protests against them from cities across the globe. They rejected Jesus Christ who explained to them exactly what to do: to acknowledge Him as their Christ and Counselor. If the Jewish people would have said “Yes!” to Jesus 2000 years ago, they would not be in the predicament they are in today. That’s because the Jewish State of Israel would never have existed because they would be Christian, not Jewish. As Christians, we do not have a country on the earth to call our own, our country is the eternal New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. Also, the global government and its global culture have no counselors, negotiators, or diplomats that will be able to steer them away from the judgments that are coming upon them. Global warming is proof of that, global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. They are facing the judgments of the events of the Seven Trumpets and the events of the Seven Plagues. Those judgments are described in Revelations 8, 9, 11, and 16.
