“Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.” Isaiah 10:1-2
A decree is an official order issued by a legal authority. An unrighteous decree is one that comes through unbelief in God, a disregard for Jesus Christ who forgives unbelief, and that grieves the presence of the Holy Spirit. In the days of Jesus, the Pharisees and scribes [lawyers] were issuing their own laws and disregarding the compassion and justice written in the word of God. Matthew 23 describes their unrighteous decrees. “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders… woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in…woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.” Matthew 23:4, 13, 15 The scribes and Pharisees were robbing the needy of justice, taking what rightfully belonged to the poor, and taking advantage of widows and orphans.
Today, the Jewish leaders have issued unrighteous decrees because they live by the laws of Judaism and reject Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. The Lord says, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” Luke 9:35 Their decrees bring misfortune to the Jewish people, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:38-39 The Jewish people need to know the justice of Jesus Christ, which their leaders have stolen from them, and is described like this, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 The Jewish people are being robbed of what rightfully belongs to them, which is the born-again experience and eternal life, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…” John 1:12 Widows, those without Christ as their husband, are prey for the leaders who require being bound by the laws of Judaism. The fatherless, orphans without parental figures in Christ, are being robbed by those parenting them through Jewish laws and customs.
The culture of today, which is global, is living by unrighteous decrees. The global government requires every person in every city around the world to live for the beast that governs by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That law excludes the Holy Spirit, leading to lawlessness and global chaos, trouble, and suffering. Requiring people to serve the beast brings misfortune to the global population. People are being robbed of the right to believe in God, to acknowledge Jesus as Christ and Lord, and to make the Holy Spirit part of who we are. People are being robbed of justice, leading to the “legal” persecution of the way of Jesus Christ. People who are not “married” to the culture of the beast are prey for that culture. People who are rejected by today’s culture, the orphans, are robbed of their right to exist. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through the global culture of the beast. By what they are given to say and do, they are groomed to the mark, name, and number of the beast.
“What will you do in the day of punishment, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?” Isaiah 10:1-3
Today, Israel will suffer in the day of judgment, their day of punishment, which we see happening to them today and will involve the time of the Battle of Armageddon, as described in the post on the Day After from Ezekiel 39. Their desolation will come from nations all around the world, members of the United Nations, which will become the undisputed one world government of the beast. The question the Lord has for them is, “To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?”
The global government and its global culture will be facing their own day of judgment and punishment, which is also at the time of the Battle of Armageddon. The Lord will gather the nations, the same nations gathered against Israel, and they will meet their end, “I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel…” Joel 3:2 The Lord asks them this one question, “To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?”

“Without Me they will bow down among the prisoners, and they will fall among the slain.” Isaiah 10:4a
The Lord is speaking that verse to the Jewish people, to Israel, and the global government and its global culture.
The Jewish people are associated with government forces in their effort to eliminate the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the world. As Peter said by the Holy Spirit, “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.” Act s4:27-28
“…His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.” Acts 3:13-15
“For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.” Isaiah 10:4b
With all of the trouble and suffering happening within the State of Israel today, the anger of the Lord is still not turned away and His hand is still outstretched against them. They will face devastating destruction during the Battle of Armageddon, as described in the post on the “Day After” from Ezekiel 39.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
