“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Acts 2:40

Peter exhorted the Jewish people to be saved from the Jewish culture of their generation 2000 years ago. They were to be Christian, where there was neither Jew nor Greek, but we are all one in Jesus Christ, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:28-29

As we repent from our unbelief in God and rejection of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit urges us to come apart from the ways of this world. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” Revelations 18:4 “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:2 Corinthians 6:14-16

Today’s culture, which is global, lives by the beast that replaces the spirit and opposes the presence of the Holy Spirit to give people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That beast gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people as they are groomed to the mark, name, and number of beast by what they are given to say and do. They deny God, reject Jesus Christ, and fight against the Holy Spirit. Do not be part of them but believe in God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

“Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” Acts 2:41

3,000 souls coming to Jesus Christ sounds like a lot but that is nothing compared to what could be today. Except nowadays the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been abandoned and people are not receptive to the Holy Spirit. In the year 2022 alone, there had been about 1,3000,000 migrants crossing into the United States from Mexico [one million three hundred thousand!]. 3000 souls coming to Jesus Christ in one day is way less than 1 percent [.01] it is .002 of a per-cent, just about nothing. Imagine if the Gospel of Jesus Christ was given the freedom to spread and the hearts of the immigrants were receptive to the Holy Spirit. The Salvation of Just 1 percent [.01] of those crossing the border in 2022 would amount to about 13,000 additional people living for Jesus Christ in the United States. The question to ask is why isn’t the Gospel of Jesus Christ permitted to be preached to the immigrants and why aren’t they receptive to the Holy Spirit?

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.” Acts 2:42-43

The multitudes who said “Yes” to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior lived in the Apostle’s doctrine, which is the Message of the Cross, Christ’s resurrection, His ascension, and the promise of eternal life for all who believe in Him. Their fellowship was in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit, they ate together in the name of Jesus, shared the Scriptures and word of Faith together, and prayed together in the name of Jesus Christ. The fear of God came upon every soul and the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The Apostles, including all of the 12, did many signs and wonders.

Imagine what the United States would be like today if 13,000 immigrants came to Jesus Christ every year! Being people who continued faithfully in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fellowshipped together in the name of Jesus, shared Scriptures together in the presence of the Holy Spriit, and prayed together in the name of Jesus. America would be a much different place than what it is today.

“Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:44-47

In those days, when many of the Jewish people came to Jesus Christ, they were banished/ostracized from the Jewish culture. This meant that those living by the laws of Judaism would not seek their services and that left the born-again Jewish people without money to earn wages. Their property would often be taken from them, or they would sell their homes, and they had no way to use the land to provide for their needs. They would also have to leave their unbelieving family who did not want to suffer the wrath of the Jewish culture. The Gentiles didn’t have those same problems, but as members of the way of Jesus Christ, they would sell what they had to help those who had given up all to follow Jesus Christ. This shares light on why our Lord Jesus said, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” Matthew 19:21 Jesus also said, “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29

This is quoted from Acts 4:34-35, “Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.”

Even today, few and far between, I may meet a fellow Believer, but the extent of the conversation is to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Those meetings are initiated because one or the other is wearing an article of clothing that lifts up the name of Jesus. Seeing the name of Jesus is encouragement to other Believers, even if a word is not spoken between one another. In today’s culture, we are groomed to know that fellowshipping in the name of Jesus Christ, in public places [such as a grocery store], is unwanted. Within a few seconds of conversation, there occurs rude noises, or people brushing near us with a grocery cart, etc. to interrupt gathering in the name of Jesus.

In the temples, the born-again Jewish people gathered with one accord, basically turning some temples into a gathering place of the Church of Christ.

With the floods of immigrants entering the United States, knowing they are not contributing to America as a Christian nation, what is their purpose here? First of all, immigration is happening across the globe and is by design of the Untired Nations through the program called, “Global Compact for Migration”. The goal is to create a global culture, without belief in God, without the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and without embracing the presence of the Holy Spirit. The global government and its global culture are to be of one mind through the beast that gives them what to speak, do, feel, and think. The goal of the United Nations is to be the sole distributor of the needs of the people through a global economy. To them, having all things in common means physiological needs, such as food, health, shelter/housing, safety and security, dignity, and self -expression [such as “My Body My Choice”]. Spiritual needs are not considered a common need as belief in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are opposed.

“Breaking bread in the temple” has a whole different meaning to the global government and its global culture. To them, this refers to fellowship with the beast that sets in the temple of God, our body, as if it is God. That beast sets within people by giving them what to think, feel, say, and do and is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 The “he” in this verse is the “man of sin”. Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.

Today, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been abandoned by those of the manmade churches in order to partner with community goals and values. Even if immigrants went to one of those churches, it would be very slim that they would here the message of the Cross.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
