Idols thrown to the “moles” and “bats”, haughtiness of global culture is brought down, and Christ reigns as King of kings.

“Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty. The lofty looks of man will be humbled, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.” Isaiah 2:10-11

The Israelites felt puffed up in their confederacy with a foreign military power [Syria] and economic prosperity, they exalted that confederacy above God. However, the Lord brought them down by the hand of of the king of Assyria. The Lord alone was exalted in that day. Today, the military power and economic prosperity of the State of Israel is not salvation for the Jewish people. Their confederacy with the military, political, and economic power of the United States is bringing the terror of the Lord upon them. They exalt their existence as a Jewish nation above living for God through Jesus Christ.

Also, the global government and its global culture feels as though the world belongs to them, and they exalt their importance above God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. In fact, they have an arrogant pride with disdain for anyone who criticizes them. The day is coming when they will be humbled and will desire to hide from what the Lord is bringing to this planet. We already see them scrambling to find a way to hide and shield themselves from the heat of global warming. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. That is just the beginning of the planet’s destruction, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

 “And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Revelations 6:15-17

“For the day of the Lord of hosts will come upon everything proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up—and it will be brought low—Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan; Upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up; Upon every high tower, and upon every fortified wall…” Isaiah 2:12-15

A description of the Day of the Lord is described in Zachariah 14, and here is an excerpt, “Their flesh will dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes will dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues will dissolve in their mouths. That a great panic from the Lord will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor, and raise his hand against his neighbor’s hand…” Zachariah 14:12-13

Everything and everyone exalted above the Living God will be brought low.

• The prince of the power of the air will be brought down, “…the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…” Ephesians 2:2
• The lead disc lifted up between heaven and earth will be brought down, “This is their resemblance throughout the earth: Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket”; then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth. Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven.“Zachariah 5:6-9.
• The space satellites, space station, and space shuttle will be brought down, as described in the post on Ezekiel 1
• Satan will be brought down, “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregations on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’” Isaiah 14:13-14
• Everyone who serves the beast that exalts itself above God will be brought down. That is the beast sitting in the temple of God, our body, as if it is God. The beast does that by its power over physiology to give people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse is the “man of sin”. “Upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all the beautiful sloops. The loftiness of man will be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day, but the idols He will utterly abolish. They will go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily.” Isaiah 2:16-19

The ships of Tarshish [and the sloops, smaller ships] carried resources and commercial goods from one port city to another, doing imports and exports, symbolizing international trade. The pride brought by that international economy will be brought down. That symbolizes the collapse of the global economy, as described in Revelations 18. “Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning…And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore…” Revelations 18:17-18, 11

The Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

The Lord will totally destroy the idols of the global government and its global culture. That idol is the beast that has power over physiology to govern by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. The power center of the beast is destroyed in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. The global government and its global culture are left powerless and they will go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily. The earth will be shaken mightily as described in the Seventh Plague of Revelations 16:17-21.

“Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.” Revelations 16:17-21

“In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which they made, each for himself to worship, to the moles and bats, to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the crags of the rugged rocks, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily.” Isaiah 2:20-21

The idols of the global government and its global culture will be cast away to the moles and bats. Bats are night creatures and moles hide underground, so this is describing a time of spiritual darkness and lawlessness in the world when the Lord destroys the earth. The idols definitely include the wealth of the global economy and the beast that gives the masses of the global culture what to speak, do, think, and feel. The global economy and the beast will be cast away to the “bats” and “moles”. How will that happen? The power center of the beast will be destroyed [cast away] during the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. People will no longer be oppressed by the beast that once had power over their physiology and they will be free to think, do, say, and feel as they want. They will rebel against their oppressors as the “bats” and “moles” of the world. They will be hiding in the “spaces of the rocks” and in the “rugged rocks”. This is the beginning of the terror of the Lord that brings the end of the planet. The global population of “bats” and “moles” draws a response from the powerless global government [without the power of the beast] to usher in the Battle of Armageddon in the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16, doing war the “old-fashioned way”. The Seventh Plague ushers in the destruction of the planet, as described in Revelations 16:17-21. The glory of the Majesty of God is His judgment against a wicked world and the return of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus returns when the Seventh Trumpet sounds, Revelations 11:15-18.

“Sever yourselves from such a man, whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?” Isaiah 2:22

The phrase, “whose breath is in his nostrils“, means that people are flesh and not God, we are the creation not the Creator. What account are we apart from God who gives us life in the Spirit through His Son Jesus Christ. “…because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25

The extent of Satan’s power is limited to the elements of this earth and the carnal desires of human nature. In fact, the image of the beast is given breath to speak by speaking through people. Without the human flesh, Satan’s beast is nothing, he has no place of power in the Kingdom of God and can not offer life in the Spirit nor can he give eternal life. “The God who made the universe and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth. He doesn’t live in shrines made by humans…” Acts 17:24

People who live for the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel are those we must sever ourselves from. “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Revelations 18:4-5
