“How the faithful city has become a harlot! It was full of justice; Righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers.” Isaiah 1:21
Israel was once a faithful city filled with justice, being rich in the heritage of the forefathers. They had the Ten Commandments that made their culture much different from the counties around them. They gave animal sacrifices instead of human sacrifices [a foreshadow of the Lamb of God who was the sacrifice to atone for our sin]. Also, they had the word of God, the Old Testament, that prophesied about the coming of the Christ, Jesus, the Son of God. Israel was filled with justice and righteousness.
The Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ 2000 years ago and today, Israel has become a harlot and land of murderers.
Today, we see how Israel [the State of Israel] has become a harlot filled with murderers. Harlotry is to give themselves to someone or something other than God through Jesus Christ. We see how Israel has formed an alliance with the United States for political and military empowerment, intelligence, guns, and bombs. Israel should be relying on God instead of relying on power and might. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zachariah 4:6 The State of Israel has been in 18 wars since being established in 1948. Click here for a list of those wars. With that, the Israelis have the most liberal abortion rights laws in the world, they embrace the LGBQT lifestyles, and they join the global culture of the beast in protesting against the Israeli government.
Israel is far from being a faithful land of justice and righteousness that God requires, which comes through Jesus Christ, and in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
“Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water. Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves;
Everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the cause of the widow come before them.” Isaiah 1:22-23
- Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water: Silver was melted down and the dross [impurities] would float to the top and be removed, to purify the silver. Israel has become so spiritually corrupt that they are like silver that is melted down, but no dross surfaces to the top because the whole pot of melted silver is dross [impure]. That describes a population of people that rejects the purifying presence of the Holy Spirit, as a result of rejecting Jesus Christ, and denying the reality of the Living God.
Wine mixed with water is the effort to serve God but watering down the service by rejecting Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. Jesus is the New Wine, the New Covenant, and by the blood He shed on the Cross…our sin is atoned for and we are reconciled to God. Without Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not given, we become spiritually impure, and become like dross.
Israel is the place where God gathers the Jewish people to unleash His judgment, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst.” Ezekiel 22:19-21 - Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: Princes are those who govern over Israel. We see how rebellious the governors of Israel are to the will of God for them to live for Jesus Christ. They rely on earthly power and might to bring worldly peace, but reject the peace that God gives through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. They are robbing their people of the will of God, stealing the Gospel of Jesus Christ from them, and robbing them of a life of service in the Holy Spirit.
“And I said: “Hear now, O heads of Jacob, and you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice? You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, and the flesh from their bones; Who also eat the flesh of My people, flay their skin from them, break their bones, and chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, like flesh in the caldron.” Micah 3:1-3 - Everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards: Today, the Jewish people might claim faith in God, but do not believe God who sent Jesus as the Christ. This is especially evident as leaders of the State of Israel stand up in front of television cameras declaring their faith in God, obviously not believing that His Son is the Christ. They love bribes and seek for rewards. In the eyes of God, bribes include receiving money, honors, rewards, etc. that draws them away from living for Him through Jesus Christ. An example of this is receiving honor, political power, military empowerment, economic prosperity, etc. from the United States and other nations. In return, they turn away from serving in the will of God, reject Jesus Christ, and turn away from the life of Holiness in the Holy Spirit.
“Her heads judge for a bribe, her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord, and say, “Is not the Lord among us? No harm can come upon us.” Micah 3:11 - They do not defend the fatherless, nor the cause of the widow: The orphans include those who do not know the Father God, whose Son is the Christ, and Savior of the world. The widows include those who have been cut off from their marriage to Jesus Christ. The Jewish people do not defend the fatherless nor the widows in that they do not teach that God is their father through Jesus Christ. They do nothing to marry their people to Jesus Christ by the forgiveness of sin.
“You pull off the robe with the garment from those who trust you, as they pass by, like men returned from war. The women of My people you cast out from their pleasant houses; From their children you have taken away My glory forever.” Micah 2:8-11
Also, there are the literal fatherless and widows in this world that today’s culture has excluded from their social network. The family as ordained by God, with Christ as head over the home, is being dismantled. Children and wives will scarcely experience a father and husband that opposes the beast that makes itself head by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. People without a father or husband should know the love of God that comes through Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
