“Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire; Strangers devour your land in your presence;
And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.” Isaiah 1:7
The post on Ezekiel 39 describes how Israel is left desolate and burned with fire from the Battle of Armageddon. In today’s times, we can already see how strangers are devouring the land of Israel in the presence of the Israeli government and people. That is shown in the image below. On top of that, the “Two State Solution” seems to be imminent, which divides the land of Israel even further with “strangers”. The “desolation” of Israel also refers to the absence of their heritage as recorded in the Old Testament, which is a result of her being overthrown by “strangers”. Those strangers also relate to those who are within the border of Israel, calling themselves Israelis, but they live for the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. The beast detests the God of Israel, who is the God of Jesus Christ.
The image on the left is what Israel looks like today, as “strangers” are devouring the land. The West Bank is a chunk of Israel that has been devoured by strangers and also the Gaza Strip [southwest corner on the Mediterranean Sea.] Establishing the “Two State Solution” will devour even more. The image on the right is Israel as described thousands of years ago in Ezekiel 48.

“So the daughter of Zion is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.” Isaiah 1:8
Ezekiel 24:1-14 describes Israel as being a pot put on the fire to boil. Ezekiel 4 describes Israel as being besieged on every side. Israel is like a booth in a vineyard, and a hut in a garden of cucumbers, being surrounded by the vines of her enemies that spread and encroach upon her. Israel is a besieged city, being in 18 wars since the year established as the State of Israel in 1948.
“Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah.” Isaiah 1:9
Sodom and Gomorrah were completely destroyed by God, as described in Genesis 19:1-29. Why? because the inhabitants of those cities intended to corrupt the righteousness of the messengers of God by imposing homosexual relations upon them. Today, the Israelis support the LGBQT community [as does the global culture] while abandoning their heritage as the people of God and they reject Jesus Christ. They choose a partnership with the people of “Sodom and Gomorrah” over their Godly heritage. In a sense, they are those who have no concern about corrupting the righteousness of the Lord’s messengers with gay lifestyles [as it is with the global culture of the beast].
The Jewish people we see in Israel, and places around the world [mostly in the United States], are what is left of the Jewish people. They are the very small remnant. Also, God did not totally wipe out the Israelites in the Old Testament for one very good reason, the birth of Jesus Christ. As described in Hebrews 11, there were valiant people of the Israelites who were mighty in their faith in God. They are those who made the survival of the Israelites possible. Because of the very small remnant that were living under the Roman Empire, our Lord Jesus was born, and was from the Tribe of Judah.
While God could wipe out the Jewish people in their sin today, a very small remnant will experience the Battle of Armageddon. A very small remnant will turn to God after the Battle of Armageddon from the very small remnant on the earth today.
“See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:38-39
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
