“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:20-21

We live in the “great house” of this world where some live for Jesus Christ and many do not. We who live for Jesus Christ are the vessels of the Holy Spirit, the vessels of honor. In contrast, those who live for the beast that governs within their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors are vessels of dishonor.

We who oppose the beast that manipulates thoughts and feelings against belief in God, forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are being sanctified and are useful for our Master, equipped for every good work. That good work is the ministry of our born-again experience, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ written on our heart. Sanctification is a process of cleansing our spirit and attitude of ugly, unloving, argumentative, rash, despairing, and faithless responses. Sanctification is an on-going process to bring about Holiness in our walk with our Master, Jesus Christ.

“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.” 2 Timothy 2:22-26

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
