The Pickaway County Public Health Department invests money in response to the statistics showing a multiple crisis. Drug overdose is a crisis, sexual disease is a crisis, teen-age pregnancy is a crisis, and homelessness is a crisis. Circleville, where I live, is the biggest city in Pickaway County. There will be four vending machines in Circleville, one just across the street from where I live, and the other three within a radius of about 2 miles. Circleville is a city of about 14, 000 residents {fourteen thousand].

Below are a few of the items that the vending machines dispense for free.

• Naloxone (Narcan) kits
• Fentanyl test strips
• Safer sex kits
• Hygiene and first aid kits
• Winter and summer care bags
• Bottled water, pregnancy tests, and more

Except for the grace, mercy, and Salvation of God, that is me needing those items. I was using drugs and alcohol, indulged in wanton sexual pleasures, and was homeless. Something brought me apart from the multiple crisis that faces this city and county today, something that cannot be dispensed from a vending machine. That is faith, hope, and a born-again experience. I was receptive to the Holy Spirit speaking to me about Jesus Christ and I stepped away from the lifestyle of crisis. A lifestyle catering to the desires of the flesh that contributes to the ills, sicknesses, and woes of a community, of communities across the nation. While I was still a sinner, He spoke to my heart and I was responsive, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

In today’s culture, there is an entity that has power over physiology to give people what they are feeling, what they are thinking, what they say, and what they are doing. This is an atheistic entity that is not capable of showing to people the love that God has for us through Jesus Christ. It opposes the presence of the Holy Spirit. Its only purpose is to give life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people everywhere as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

Buying those vending machines and saying, “These machines are about compassion, access, and hope…”, or using terms like “Harm Reduction”, or “promote wellness” are a form of Godliness that denies the power of Jesus Christ, and describes today’s culture, which is global. “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14-15

The Holy Spirit says to us, “...do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” Revelations 18:4

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:19-26
