“He wrote a letter in the following manner: Claudius Lysias, To the most excellent governor Felix: Greetings. This man was seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them. Coming with the troops I rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman. And when I wanted to know the reason they accused him, I brought him before their council. I found out that he was accused concerning questions of their law, but had nothing charged against him deserving of death or chains. And when it was told me that the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him immediately to you, and also commanded his accusers to state before you the charges against him. Farewell.” Acts 23:25-30
The Roman commander wanted to portray himself as a hero in written documentation by saying he rescued Paul from the angry Jewish culture, brought him to a speedy trial, and then transferred him to Governor Felix [to a higher court]. Unfortunately, what was written in the commander’s written record does not reflect the truth of how Paul was actually dealt with. The commander portrayed Paul/Christianity as being 1) Incompatible with today’s atheistic culture and the source of turbulence within society. 2) Baselessly not supported by the congress of the United States or any other national congress around the world. 3) Subject to the charges that the accusers of the community culture bring forth.
The letter of the Roman commander brings to light that written records do not reflect what is really happening to Christianity. The written records established by the governing authorities of today’s atheistic culture portray themselves as being the rescuers of Christianity instead of imprisoning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the followers of Jesus, the twisted documentation would be like receiving those disciplinary work notes, or negative work reviews, or sour school evaluations, or accused formally of inappropriate conduct in some way or another.
The first lie told by the Roman commander was that he rescued Paul from the Jewish mob because he learned Paul was a Roman citizen. What actually happened was that he came to the Jewish mob where Paul was being beaten, before knowing Paul was a Roman citizen, and immediately bound him with two chains, “Then the commander came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains…” Acts 21:33 The commander lied to twist the timeline to avoid what he really did to Paul. In worldly documentation, timelines will be twisted against the followers of Jesus Christ to put those of the community culture in the clear of any wrongdoing.
The second lie that the commander told was that he did nothing to bring harm to Paul. What really happened is that the commander bound Paul, not only with two chains, but with thongs in preparation to whip Paul to beat the “truth” out of him. “…the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him. And as they bound him with thongs…” Acts 22:24 The commander lied to avoid any impression of intent to physically harm or abuse Paul. In worldly documentation, there will not be found anything to suggests that Christianity is “put in chains” and harm is intended to Christians by “scourging” from those of the community culture. Nothing will be said about trying to “beat” Jesus Christ out of us.
The Roman commander discovered Paul was a Roman citizen after he bound him with two chains, put him in thongs, and prepared to whip him. That is when Paul said, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?” Acts 22:26
The third lie that the Roman commander told was that after he rescued Paul from being beaten by the Jewish mob, he brought him to trial before the Jewish congress of the Sanhedrin, “And when I wanted to know the reason they accused him, I brought him before their council.” He left out the part of how he chained Paul, put him in thongs, and was prepared to whip the “truth” out of him before bringing him to trial. In worldly documentation, nothing will be said about the imprisonment and extermination of Christianity without any legal representation or trial on behalf of Christians.
The true story of what happened to Paul, contradicting the story of the written documentation of the Roman commander, is described in Acts 21:26-36 and Acts 22:24-29
Today’s culture, which is global, lives by a deep dark secret that drives them to work to exterminate Christianity from off the face of the earth. This will never be brought to light, and the community culture will always be portrayed as being in the right, not the followers of Jesus Christ. That’s because they are synchronized in purpose by the entity giving them what to do, think, feel, and say. They are living by Satan’s deep secrets, “….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’…I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
