“And all the city was disturbed; and the people ran together, seized Paul, and dragged him out of the temple; and immediately the doors were shut” Acts 21:30
The whole city, consisting of the Jewish people, were riled to see Paul in the temple [Acts 21:27-29]. They all ran together and dragged Paul out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. That is exactly what is happening in today’s culture against those who believe in God through Jesus Christ. Anyone who is critical of the culture living for the entity that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel are shunned by the community. The intent is to force people out of the presence of the Holy Spirit that lives within our heart, mind, and soul.
Our body is the temple of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and today’s culture drags people out of the temple of God. We are dragged out from the presence of the Holy Spirit by negative feedback, social disapproval, antagonism, personal attacks, and unwanted physical experiences. Anything related to the natural senses is polluted; the things we see are contrary to the Holy Spirit, what we smell, taste, feel, and hear is designed to chase us from the presence of the Holy Spirit. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20 They want the temple, our body, to be the home of the atheistic entity that speaks and lives through people everywhere.
As a result of people being dragged from the temple of God [our body as the home of the Holy Spirit], the door to the temple is shut, and the Holy Spirit is shut out from today’s culture, which is global. They seek the death of Christianity. The Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness, and as He is taken out of the way, lawlessness is unleashed, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed…” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 Click here for a post on the “lawless one”.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
