The “666”

“Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:18

While we could say that the social security number, digital I.D., and digital currency relate to the number of the beast being the number of a “man” [as described in Revelation 13:16-17 on the Mark of the Beast], it is much more than that.

The phrase, “Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast…” is letting us know that the beast is not spiritual in nature nor is it of the human spirit. The beast relates to a number, and is not known through the spirit, and that number is applied to a “man”. That number is “666” and symbolizes opposition to the Spirit of God. This involves unbelief in the Living God [6], discarding the need for the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ [6], and opposing the presence of the Holy Spirit [6]. One thing known about today’s culture, which is global, is that they deny God, discard the need for Jesus Christ, and oppose the Holy Spirit.

The word “man” as an individual would imply that just one person on this earth has absolute control over the government of the beast. If that was the case, we could assume that the global government of the beast would not last much over a hundred years, if that long [Nobody lives on this earth for much over a hundred years]. “Man” as an individual person would mean that all of the events of the Seven Seals [Revelations 6], the Seven Trumpets, [Revelations 8, 9, 11], and the Seven Plagues [Revelations 16] would happen within the span of 100 years. As is evident, God brings His judgment onto this world, which means the government of the beast doesn’t pass away into oblivion by the death of one, nor is any one person assassinated as a way to defeat the government of the beast.

Global warming is in the world today and has been talked about for over thirty years. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of revelation 16:8-9 and is instrumental in bringing the destruction of the power center of the beast [Revelations 16:10-11 of the Fifth Plague]. The more powerful the United Nations become as the one world government the hotter and more intense the effect of global warming becomes.

The word, “man,” in the phrase “the number of the man”, refers to “mankind,” or humanity. The masses of people around the world are the “man” who bonds with the beast through the “666.” Their number is “666” because they blaspheme God, reject Jesus Christ, and trample on the Holy Spirit. The number of the beast is the number of the “man”.

The beast is artificial, appears through human reasoning, is worldly, and is associated with human physiology without the spirit. That is exactly how Satan operates, he sets out to destroy the Spirit of God and the human spirit. We live in a technological age that controls every aspect of the lives of people around the world. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

In today’s technological age, people in every city around the world embrace the image of the beast that is given breath/life to speak and live through them. By what they are given to say and do, they put forth the image of the “666” by their unbelief in God [6], scoffing at the need for Jesus Christ [6], and opposing the presence of the Holy Spirit [6]. The “666” bonds a person to the beast from within their physiology. To break from the bond of the beast is to break away from today’s culture of the beast. Coming apart from them is simply by believing in the Living God, acknowledging our need for Jesus Christ, and desiring to live in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible consistently gives human traits to the beast and bonds the two together, as described below,

• Eyes and Mouth Like a Human Being: “This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.” Daniel 7:8 People everywhere are constantly boasting, “We see,” or “We know”, or ““Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
• Has Breathe and a Mouth to Speak: Breathe is what gives us the ability to speak by the air in the lungs. The image of the beast is given breath with a mouth to speak, and the ability to speak suggests a form of intelligence, “The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak.” Revelation 13:15 Again, Satan tries to imitate everything that Jeus Christ and God does by giving the breath of life. Speaking of Jesus Christ, “And with that He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:22 And God breathed life into Adam, “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
• Human and False God are Twins: This is found in Acts 28:11-13 where it mentions the ship sailing towards the world capital having the sign of the twins, one a human and one a god. Castor is the human and Pollux is the god. The human part would be the flesh and blood person while the god part would be the beast that forms what people say, do, think, and feel, to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through us. As twins, they share a common bond, the bond of the “666”.
• Paul and Barnabas considered to be Zeus and Hermes: This is found in Acts 14:8-20. Zeus is considered the god above every god and considered to be the ruler of gods and humans. Hermes is considered the messenger of gods and is able to move quickly and freely between the human world and the realm of the gods. Zeus symbolizes the entity that sets itself above all gods, and God Himself, with its power to govern through what people speak, do, think, and feel. Hermes represents human beings who are messengers for the entity giving them what to think, feel, say, and do.
• Beast and the Person the Same: The person is not only meshed with the beast but also shares the beast’s “666” character. The bond between the person and the beast is brought out in Revelation 17:3-6. The beast is scarlet, and the person sitting on the beast is dressed in scarlet. It would be near impossible to distinguish one from the other, or where one left off and the other began. Also, it uses wealth to persuade and has a cup filled with abominations which is the “666” of the beast being revealed through a person.
  
  The “666” is blaspheme and denial of God (one “6”), discarding the need for Jesus Christ (one “6”), and trampling on the Holy Spirit (one “6”). It leaves a person filled with abominations. The “666” is what bonds the beast [that forms thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and speech] to the person. That bond is broken when we believe in God, acknowledge the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and embrace the Holy Spirit.
  
  The purple represents treating people like royalty, or like a god, if they live by the beast that forms their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and speech “There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.”
• Number of the beast is the number of the person: The number of the beast is the number of a man. “Man” represents “mankind” or humanity as a whole. The beast and the person are bonded as one by the beast giving people what to say, do, think, and feel. “This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.” Revelation 13:18
  
  By using the term “calculate” to describe the bond between the beast and the person, we are being made aware that the beast forming what we think, feel, do, and speak is not spiritual but artificial.   The number “666” represents the blasphemy committed in the partnership of the beast and the global culture of the beast. They are bonded together in their denial of God (6), rejection of Jesus Christ (6), and blaspheme against the Holy Spirit (6). Click here for a post on building the Tower of Babel.
• Modern false god is a technological one: Habakkuk describes the modern false god as being a technological one, “Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Awake!’ To silent stone, ‘Arise! It will teach!’ Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver…” Click here for a post on Habakkuk 2:18-20
• Our Body is the Temple of God Where It Sets. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 And speaking of the beast that governs from within our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and what we say, “…he opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The “he” in this verse is the “man of sin”. Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.
• The superhumans are a mix of humans and “sons of God”. In Genesis 6:1-7, it speaks of the Nephilim who are superhumans born by crossbreeding the “sons of God” with humans. That represents the superhumans of today who are a crossbreed of human beings with the beast that forms what they think, feel, do, and say.
