The Lord brings His judgment from within the hearts of the terrible of this earth.

Habakkuk 1:5-11

“Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.” Habakkuk 1:5

To look among the nations is to look globally all around the world, which refers to the global government [which is established through the United Nations] and the masses of people of its global culture. The Lord wants us to watch and keep an eye on global events because He is doing a work in these days which is unbelievable, even though we read about it in the Bible and are seeing it happen before our eyes. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy, so if we want to know where the world is within Bible prophecy we only need to look at where Jesus is within the world, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10

“For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, a bitter and hasty nation which marches through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs. They are terrible and dreadful; Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.” Habakkuk 1:6-7

What is the work the Lord is doing around the world? He is raising up the “Chaldeans”, which are among the nations we are to be watching. In other words, the “Chaldeans” represent the global government that are marching from one side of the earth to the other, which creates the global culture. They are a bitter and hasty nation regarding their bitterness towards belief in God, the way they scoff at the need for Jesus Christ, in their oppression of the Holy Spirit, and the way they are driving Christianity into extinction [Click here for a post on the extinction of Christian births from revelation 12]. They are also hasty and bitter in their acts of lawlessness and spiritual corruption. They are terrible and dreadful.

All across the globe, they possess living places that are not theirs, which means they dominate the territory of every city, state, and nation to claim as their own. Even today, as astounding as it is, the sustainability goals of the United Nations are everywhere around the world. The schools teach them, the churches succumb to them instead of preaching the Gospel of Christ, government lawmakers govern by them, and this is happening everywhere in the world. At the bottom of this post is a chart of the United Nations’ “Sustainability Goals” which we are all familiar with [even though we may not have been consciously taught them]. They are rooted in the will of the people instead of believing in God through Jesus Christ, “Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:9. The people of this world are trying to create a Garden of Eden on this earth but heaven is not a place on earth but is in the new heaven and earth of the New Jerusalem.

“For the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness…A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been…The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; Surely nothing will escape them.” Joel 2:1-3 Click here for a post on Joel 2:1-11.

They are terrible and dreadful in claiming the temple of God, our body, as their dwelling place. The entity that has power over physiology, to give the global culture what to think, feel, say, and do, has set itself up as God within the temple of God, this is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The “he” in this verse is the “man of sin”. Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. This entity gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

Their judgment and their dignity come from themselves, from within own heart and mind, which means the atheistic entity giving people what to think, feel, say, and do has made itself judge over all things. This entity speaks and lives through people to execute judgment by what they are given to say and do. Their sense of dignity and self-respect comes by their honor for the atheistic entity living within themselves and each other. They honor one another but reject God. “How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” John 5:44

“Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and more fierce than evening wolves. Their horsemen charge ahead; Their cavalry comes from afar; They fly as the eagle that hastens to eat.” Habakkuk 1:8

During the days of Habakkuk, and all through the days of the Bible, there were no words to describe jet engines, rockets, jet planes, tanks, fast military machinery, stealth technology, the ability for military vessels to come from far away places, night vision, drones, robotic “soldiers” etc. The Holy Spirit describes these things to us in terms like “horses swifter than leopards”, “more fierce than evening wolves“, “horsemen that charge ahead“, “calvary coming from afar”, “they fly like the eagle that hastens to eat”. This definitely describes the nations of the world today that comprises the United Nations, particularly Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, etc. This is a time when the United Nations is progressing steadily forward in being established as the undisputable one world government.

“They all come for violence; Their faces are set like the east wind. They gather captives like sand.” Habakkuk 1:9

The phrase, “They all come for violence and their faces are set like the east wind…” draws a description of the east countries such as China, North Korea, Iran, and Russia which are all atheists, and their faces are set against the west. They are coming against the United States, Europe, and allies, including Israel. The atheist countries are more than compatible to the entity that sets itself up as God by giving people what to think, feel, say, and do by its power over physiology. This entity “gathers captives like sand” which is referring to turning the heart and mind of people to spiritual sand, devoid of the fruit of the Spirit, devoid of belief in God and Jesus Christ. From this sand, people in every city around the world are gathered to welcome the entity that replaces the conscience and spirit while oppressing the Holy Spirit [to give people what to think, feel, say, and do] Click here for a post on the human physiology turned to sand. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:26-27

“They scoff at kings, and princes are scorned by them. They deride every stronghold, for they heap up earthen mounds and seize it.” Habakkuk 1:10

As we watch the behavior of the global culture around the world, and the nations they affect, we see how they scoff at government leaders and other government officials are scorned by them. Their riots and protests are everywhere around the world making demands of their own government to reform to the agenda of the United Nations. In combination with this, the nations of the east deride every stronghold and “heap up earthen mounds and seize it”. To “heap up earthen mounds” means to build up mounds of dirt by an enemies’ walls so that they can run up the mound and over the walls. Today, the United States, European countries, Israel, and other such countries have huge border and security problems. Either through cyber-attacks, spy balloons, illegal immigration, election interference, unmanageable crime and violence, etc. the walls are being overrun. Countries are being seized, which only benefits the goals of the United Nations to be established as the savior of the world and the one world government.

“Then his spirit changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, ascribing this power to his god.” Habakkuk 1:11

The phrase, “Then his spirit changes, and he transgresses…” refers to changing like the wind changes, to go elsewhere to climb walls and borders to seize other countries to cause them to surrender to the will of the global government. With all of the offenses committed, it is done in the name of the entity with power over physiology to give people what to think, feel, say, and do. That entity is this world’s god. The power of the world government of the beast and its global culture is ascribed to the entity that sets itself up as God within people, the temple of God.
