Christ’s Kingdom is not the State of Israel or any place on this earth.

The following verses [Micah 5:5b-15] reveal how the Jewish people believed that their Messiah would be an earthly king to set up the Jewish nation here on earth. At one point, the Jewish people were going to compel Jesus to be their earthly king, as quoted, “Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.” John 6:15 After the death of Jesus Christ, some Jewish people said this, “But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel.” Luke 24:21

While Jesus didn’t deny that He is a King, He made it clear that His Kingdom is not an earthly one, “Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” John 18:36 In the coming verses of Micah 5:5b-15, it is revealed how the Jewish people do fight for their earthly kingdom [the State of Israel]. Big mistake!

“Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” John 18:37 Jesus was scourged and mocked because His Kingdom was confused with an earthly Jewish kingdom, “So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands…” John 19:1-3 Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And [Pilate] said to the Jews, “Behold your King!”…Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS…” John 19:14,19Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.”’ John 19:21 Jesus never claimed to be the king of the Jews. The chief priests sought to have Him crucified by the Romans and, even as He hung on the cross, they accused Him of saying He intended to establish an earthly kingdom as the king of the Jews. Also, the chief priests did not want the Jewish people to think that their earthly messiah was defeated, being crucified, and hanging on a Roman cross.

Here begins the post on the verses of Micah 5:5b-15

The frame of mind that the Jewish people were in when they heard their Messiah had arrived [Jesus Christ]was that now they would be able to defeat their oppressors, which included the Romans, and establish their nation on earth. How wrong they were, “Some of the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the kingdom of God come?” Jesus answered, “God’s kingdom is coming, but not in a way that you will be able to see with your eyes. People will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ because God’s kingdom is within you.” Luke 17:20-21 Today, the Israelis of the State of Israel are defending their nation with military aggression, which God has warned them against. As a consequence, their earthly kingdom is being torn apart by war and conflict of every type. That is what the following verses of Micah 5b-15 are speaking of.

“When the Assyrian comes into our land, and when he treads in our palaces, then we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight princely men.” Micah 5:5b.

The Jewish people believed that when their Christ arrived [as described in Micah 5:2-5a], that they would be able to rise up against anyone who violated their earthly territory and “Holy” places. The “seven shepherds and eight princely men” refers to the rulers over Israel, such as the 14 Prime Ministers of the State of Israel which have led the Israelis into 18 wars since the State of Israel was established in 1948. Click here for a list of those wars and the Prime Ministers who led each specific war. Ever wonder who the 15th will be, and what the State of Israel will be like under the 15th Prime Minister? Or especially the 16th?

“They will waste with the sword the land of Assyria, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; Thus He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he comes into our land and when he treads within our borders.” Micah 5:6

The “us” and “they” in that verse is from the voice of the Jewish people who believed that their Christ would deliver them from their earthly enemies, other countries, and at the time included the Romans. Today, the leaders of the State of Israel are fighting for their earthly kingdom to keep the Muslim/Islamist countries from subduing their nation.

“Then the remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, that waits for no man nor waits for the sons of men.” Micah 5:7

Through the entire history of the Jewish people, what is remaining of their people is what is seen in the world today. That is the earthly and secular remnant of Israel, not the remnant that will enter into the Kingdom of God through faith in Jesus Christ. The larger half of the Jewish people’s remnant is in the State of Israel, the smaller half is in the United States, and the rest are scattered in other countries around the world. They are in the midst of many peoples like the dew and showers.

The dew and showers do not wait for anybody; it just comes. That is how the Jewish people gathered to the State of Israel in 1948, they just flocked there without waiting for the approval of anyone. The United Nations worked on establishing the State of Israel immediately after World War 2 and was recognized in 1948. However, there was not much support or approval from the Islamist countries of the Middle East, which resulted in the Arab-Israeli war of 1948, and the subsequent 17 wars following that. The Jewish people weren’t waiting for their approval. Actually, it was the vote of the United States in the United Nations that played an enormous role in establishing the State of Israel.

“And the remnant of Jacob will be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, who, if he passes through, both treads down and tears in pieces, and none can deliver. Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries, and all your enemies will be cut off.” Micah 5:8-9

The remnant of Israel, referring to the Israelis of the State of Israel, are indeed among the Gentiles, in the midst of many people. Those Gentiles are the Muslim/Islamists that surrounds them on every side by many people. The State of Israel is like a lion among the beasts in the forest and a young lion among the flocks of sheep. That means Israel is using the power and might of aggressive military and police action against their adversaries. The State of Israel receives a lot of international television and news coverage for being a devastating force in the region, that treads down and tears in pieces.

The following verse is definitely true about Israel standing alone [having their enemies cut off], “Your hand will be lifted against your adversaries, and all your enemies will be cut off.Micah 5:9 This is exactly why the judgment of the Lord comes against the Jewish people, as explained in this verse, “And it will be in that day,” says the Lord, “That I will cut off your horses from your midst and destroy your chariots.” Micah 5:10 In the day that Israel depends more on power and might than on the Spirit of God, which is nowadays, God is going to destroy their military power.

In the days of the Bible, there were no words in the people’s vocabulary to describe tanks, planes, guns, bombs, explosives or anything else associated with the military. Horses and chariots were how war was fought in those days, and the Holy Spirit speaks to us through symbolisms in a way that we can understand in this year 2025 and beyond. In this light, God vows to cut off the military effectiveness of Israel’ armies and to destroy their military machine. This speaks volumes as to what is happening to the relationship between Israel and the United States because the USA has been a main enabler of Israel.

“I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds.I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers. Your carved images I will also cut off, and your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands; I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; Thus I will destroy your cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury on the nations that have not obeyed.” Micah 5:11-15

God is going to cut down the cities of Israel’s land, which is already happening, and is what the “Two State Solution” is all about, which Israel vehemently rejects. Jerusalem is already divided into West and East. The Temple Mount, where Solomon’s Temple was built, has been given to the Muslim/Islamist people. Israel is divided by the territory of the West Bank, and even the Gaza Strip was once part of the territory of Israel. The map below shows the original territory of Israel and how it looks today,

The map on the right shows how the territory of Israel was distributed to the Twelve Tribes of Israel in the days of Ezekiel, as described in Ezekiel 48. That is just about exactly the territory of Israel today as seen in the picture on the left. However, we see how much of Israel’s territory the West Bank has taken, as well as the Gaza Strip [in the southwest corner on the Mediterranean Sea]. East Jerusalem is n the West Bank and West Jerusalem is in Israel.

Israel no longer has any tricks left up their sleeve. God has removed their sorceries, soothsayers, false gods, and their sacred pillars. Certainly, no one sees the State of Israel as being a pillar of the sacred standards of God, especially since they have rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus is the sacred pillar and standard of God. As the world can see, God is destroying the Jewish Nation, “Thus I will destroy your cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury on the nations that have not obeyed.

“Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst.” Ezekiel 22:19-21

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
