“Now it will come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house will be established on the top of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills; And peoples will flow to it.” Micah 4:1

“In the latter days” refers to the days during and after when the Jewish people were gathered to the State of Israel in 1948. That is when the Jewish people from all around the world were established “…on the top of the mountain…” and people flowed into it. The Jewish nation of the State of Israel was “...exalted above the hills…” referring to their rapid acceptance into the assembly of the United Nations in 1949.

We know there are no blessings for the Jewish people mentioned in the New Testament, not until they acknowledge Jesus as Christ and Son of God, as Jesus said, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39 Also, Jesus said, “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12 The “sons of the kingdom” are the Jewish people.

For we who are born-again in Christ say, “‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” and we will be gathered from the east and west to sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the eternal New Jerusalem. “In the latter days” also refer to when our Lord Jesus is returning to bring us home with Him as the Lord’s house has been established “…on top of the mountains…” and exalted above the hills. This house is created in the new heaven and earth and is called the New Jerusalem. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

“Many nations will come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law will go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Micah 4:2

The “house of the God of Jacob” is the house of the God of Jesus Christ, which includes non-Jewish people “This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.” Psalms 24:6 Through Jesus, everyone who believes His testimony is able to come into the presence of God, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 His ways, His paths, His laws, and his word are written on our heart. Our born-again experience is the Gospel of Christ written on our heart. “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17

The many nations coming into the house of Christ is described in this way, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you be Christ’s, then are you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:28-29

Zion represents the heavenly home of the New Jerusalem, “We’re marching to Zion, Beautiful, beautiful Zion; We’re marching upward to Zion, The beautiful city of God.” [Church Song]. The following excerpt of a song also reflects Jerusalem as the Heavenly home, “And once again the scene was changed, new earth there seemed to be, I saw the Holy City beside the tideless sea. The light of God was on the streets, the gates are opened wide and all who would might enter and no one was denied. No need of moon or stars by night or sun to shine by day, it was the New Jerusalem that would not pass away, it was the new Jerusalem, that would not pass away. [Church Song]

Micah says this this about the eternal New Jerusalem, “[God] will judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations afar off; They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. But everyone will sit under His vine and under His fig tree, and no one will make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.” Micah 4:3-4

“For all people walk each in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.” Malacai 4:5

In today’s culture, everyone has put their faith and hope into a better world on earth, and their god is the entity that has power over physiology to give them what to think, feel, say, and do, “Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:9 The entity they serve as their god enlivens the image of the beast to speak and live through them as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do. In contrast, we who are born again choose to serve the Living God through Jesus Christ, and we will serve Him forever in the New Jerusalem.

“In that day,” says the Lord, “I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; So the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion from now on, even forever. And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, to you will it come, even the former dominion will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.” Micah 4:5-8

As born-again Christians, we are the “daughters of Jerusalem” because the Salvation of the non-Jewish gentiles is from the Jewish culture. Especially since our Lord Jesus is Jewish and of the Tribe of Judah, but more specifically, He is born of the Spirit of God, as quoted, “…for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:22-24

Our Lord Jesus gathers everybody into the Kingdom of God, simply for believing in Him and accepting His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. He welcomes the lame [He causes us to walk in the Spirit], the outcasts [He brings us into the family of God], the afflicted [He heals us spiritually], the blind [He enables us to see spiritually], the mute [He enables us to speak of the Gospel], everybody! “Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” Revelation 19:9 Our Lord Jesus gave a parable of all who are invited to His wedding banquet, in Matthew 22:1-14. An excerpt from that parable, “Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.” Matthew 22:9-10 The outcasts have been made a strong nation, and the lame has been made a surviving remnant of the family of God.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
