When God brings a stop to the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ

“Do not prattle,” you say to those who prophesy. So they will not prophesy to you; They will not return insult for insult. You who are named the house of Jacob: “Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?” Micah 2:6

In this verse, God speaks through Micah to address both Israel and the global government along with its global culture. The prophecy directed at them is further explained in the post on Micah 1:1. They consider the prophecy against them to be “prattle”. “Prattle” means to talk at length in a foolish or inconsequential way.

The Jewish people believe that any prophecy against them, relating to their rejection of Jesus Christ is prattle. But even in the Old Testament book of Ezekiel it is written that God gathers them to the State of Israel as the place where God unleashes His judgment on them, as quoted, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20 The Lord Jesus Christ says this, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:38-39

The global government and its global culture think that the prophecy written against them is prattle. The prophecy against them is what the book of the Revelation is all about, and most evident in the events of the Seven Trumpets in Revelation 8, 9and 11 and the Seven Plagues of Revelation 16. The whole world can see that it is more than prattle because global warming is here and is the Fourth Plague of Revelation 16:8-9, as quoted, “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat, and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.” The more powerful the United Nations become as the one world government the hotter and more intense the effects of global warming become.

Today, the following verse lets us know what it means to prophecy, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10 If we want to know where Israel and the world is in prophecy all we have to do is look at where Jesus is within the world. To share the Gospel of Christ, which is His testimony, is the spirit of prophecy. In today’s world, the testimony of Jesus is considered prattle.

The phrase, “So they will not prophesy to you…” is God letting Israel and the global government, and its global culture, know that prophesying to them will stop, precaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ will stop. This is what our Lord Jesus teaches us, “If anyone doesn’t welcome you or listen to what you say, leave that house or city, and shake its dust off your feet. I can guarantee this truth: Judgment day will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that city.” Matthew 10:14-15 Jesus also says a time will come when no one will be able to work to share the born-again experience, which is the Gospel written on our heart, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5

“I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you will be mute and not be one to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:26

The reason that no one will be sharing the Gospel of Christ is because it turns into debate, conflict, and argument. The Holy Spirit does not want us to engage in verbal “fencing”, which is what this phrase means, “They shall not return insult for insult.” The Holy Spirit speaks to us through Paul in this verse, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.”2 Timothy 2:15-16

You who are named the house of Jacob: “Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?” Micah 2:7

Speaking to the Jewish culture, God says, “Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted?” which refers to His judgment coming against them within the State of Israel for all the world to see, but His ability to turn things around for them. What is happening to them are the doings of God, as described in Ezekiel 22:19-20 and Matthew 23:37-39, “Are these His doings?” God is able to do good for Israel by their faith in Jesus Christ, “Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?” “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

We who are born-again through Jesus Christ are named the house of Jacob, “This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.” Psalms 24:6 Jacob’s name was changed to Israel in Genesis 32:28. We are the house of Israel, as quoted, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham…if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Romans 9:6-7 and Galatians 3:29

The Lord is speaking to us when He says, “Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?” Instead of feeling defeated because our born again-experience is not being heard, which is the Gospel of Christ written on our heart, understand that God is not restricted. In fact, what is happening in this world is exactly His doing, along the lines of this verse, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 This world may be void of belief in God, reverence for Jesus Christ, and absent of the Holy Spirit, but as God says, “Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?” “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
