Jonah preaches to Nineveh

“Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent. And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” Jonah 3:1-4

After Jonah was spit out of the belly of the fish onto dry ground, he spread the word of the Lord to the people of Ninevah. Our Lord Jesus Christ was also spit out from the grave and resurrected to live eternally with God. “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.“ Matthew 12:40 After God resurrected Jesus from the grave, His Gospel spread all around the world, on every continent in every country, as He said, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” Luke 4:43 Christ Jesus was the word made flesh as He walked on this earth 2000 years ago, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

This is the Gospel to be spread, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Our born-again experience is the Gospel of Christ written on our heart, and that is what we want to share.

Jesus knew a time would come in this world when the His Gospel would be prohibited, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5

We live in an atheistic culture, and that culture is global, which is a sign that we are living under the global government of the beast. The churches have abandoned the Gospel message of the Cross, government lawmakers no longer integrate the values of the Bible in laws and policies, the educational system does not allow the teaching of the Bible in classrooms, and the promotion of Christianity is not welcomed in any sector of society. Jesus Christ is kept out of sight and out of mind.

Matthew 24 are the words of Jesus about this world being overthrown and also the boof of Revelation. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicle 17:4 “Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, “Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” Jeremiah 33:3
