“So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.” Jonah 2:10
When God had Jonah vomited onto dry ground, this was symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus said that Jonah being in the belly of the well for three days and three nights was symbolic of Him being in the grave for three days and three nights [and then His resurrection from the grave], “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:40
Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o’er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
[Church Song]
Because Jesus Christ lives today, we also will live eternally with Him after our resurrection from the dead, “So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.” 1 Corinthians 15:42-44
“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved….For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Romans 10:13, John 3:16
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
