Our stewardship from God is to share the Gospel of Christ, which is our born-again experience written on our heart.

“I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church…” Colossians 1:24

Paul suffered tremendously in his ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which a glimpse into those sufferings can be read in 2 Corinthians 11:23-28. He rejoiced in those sufferings, not happy that he was persecuted but joyful in the growth of the Church that came through his sufferings. He was willing to suffer even more to be like our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified on the Cross to bring the forgiveness of sin, the born-again experience to individuals, and to give birth to the Church. Nails were hammered through the hands of Jesus and into the wooden cross, nails were hammered through His feet and into the wooden Cross, a crown of thorns was pressed hard onto His head, into the skull, and a spear was pushed through His heart. All of those sufferings were for you and me, members of the Church of Christ, His body.

Jesus says this to you and me, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. “You are the salt of the earth…” Matthew 5:11-13

“…of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.” Colossians 1:25-26

Paul became a minister of the Church and 2000 years later is still ministering to the followers of Jesus Christ through his letters of the New Testament. Paul became a minister according to the stewardship God gave him, which was to fulfill the word of God, the gospel of Christ. That is the same stewardship that God gives us today, to share our born-again experience with others, which is the fulfillment of the word of God written on our heart. The born-again experience had always been a mystery to those of the Old Testament times, but now through Jesus Christ, we understand the mystery of being able to come to God from within our heart.

Speaking of those living under the laws of the Old Testament, “But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Corinthians 3:14-17

“God wanted his people throughout the world to know the glorious riches of this mystery—which is Christ living in you, giving you the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to every Jewish person in this world, and to every non-Jewish person in this world, to know the riches that we have in Jesus Christ. And those riches are to have Christ living in us through the Holy Spirit which gives us the hope of His glory. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28

“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.” Colossians 1:28-29

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
