Many enemies to the example given in the Gospel of Christ

“Brothers and sisters, join in following my example, and pay attention to those who live by the example we have given you.” Philippians 3:17

We are the brothers and sisters of Paul through our Lord Jesus Christ, he has set an example for us in following the way of the Gospel of Jesus. There are many other examples, like Paul, who we should look to as a Christian example as well, those of the Bible and those we may have met. The example set for us is a spirit, mind, and soul that shines with the verse, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 As Paul himself has said, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18

“I have often told you, and now tell you with tears in my eyes, that many live as the enemies of the cross of Christ…” Philippians 3:18

Today’s culture has made a world where people want to come across as being enlightened as proponents of doing the right thing for the salvation of the planet and humanity. They are those who use smooth words and flatteries to persuade people to their worldly agenda and away from Jesus Christ, “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18 “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14-15

“…whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.” Philippians 3:19

Those who follow the agenda of this world to save the planet and humanity by their own efforts while denying God, scoffing at the need for Jesus Christ, and oppressing the Holy Spirit are on a path to destruction. Global warming is here, as stated in Revelation 16:8-9, and the more powerful the United Nations become as the one world government the hotter and more intense global warming becomes.

We live in a world where people serve human nature by serving the creature human being instead of serving God the Creator, their god is their belly. There is an entity in this world that has the power to rule over human nature by giving people what to feel and think to influence what they say and do. This is the god that sets in our body, the temple of God, as if it is God, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “him” in this verse is the “man of sin”.

Their “glory is in their shame” refers to their pride, dignity, esteem, and self-respect rising on the wings of atheism while despising the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have set their mind on the things of this earth, “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High, ’Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.” Isaiah 14:12-15

 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ…” Philippians 3:20

As followers of Jesus Christ, our citizenship is in the New Jerusalem, so our hope is not in an earthly Garden of Eden, we are waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus. While those of this world have false hope in a long-term plan for saving the planet and humanity, our Lord Jesus comes back like a flash of lightening, “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:26-27

“…who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” Philippians 3:21

Jesus Christ is going to transform our earthly body into an eternal heavenly body. Our body will be like that of our Lord Jesus when He was raised from the dead after three days. He had flesh and bones and was able to eat, as described, “Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence.” Luke 24:36-43

Ezekiel 37 speaks of the resurrection of dry bones.
