Humbleness within the body of Christ brings mutual respect and acknowledgement that Jesus is Lord and Savior.

“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:1-4

Living within the body of Jesus Christ, every part from head to foot works together, and this is the consolation we have in Christ. We live in the common goal of subduing the behavior of the flesh, involving anger, rioting, protests against government rulers, malice words against others, vengeance, conflicts, substance abuse, greed, sexual promiscuity, coarse talking, etc. If there is any fellowship of the Spirit in this world, and any affection and mercy, it comes in being like-minded, having the same love of God, being of one accord in Jesus, being of one mind in the Holy Spirit.

“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.” Titus 3:1-2

To subdue the flesh is to realize that we must decrease to allow more of Christ to live in us, free of selfish ambition and conceit. Humbleness is the road to living at peace in this world and living at peace with God by acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Instead of elevating our own ambitions and conceit over others, we consider the interests of others, and between Christians there is that mutual respect and yielding.

“But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!” Galatians 5:15

Today’s culture seems to believe it’s necessary to bite and devour one another in order to consume the aspects not desired within a person. Many people fall prey to their words and actions that brings destruction, death, and darkness in many ways to human beings. Today’s culture lives by the entity that replaces the conscience and spirit to give people what to think and feel to influence what they say and do. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
