Whatever we ask according to the will of God we receive.

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

As we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, we understand that our prayers are not meant to alter the will of God, nor is He a “genie in a bottle” that we rub to make our wishes come true. Instead, our prayers align us with His will, sanctifying us in spirit, “…for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13as. When we realize that our prayers are answered in a way to provide what we need in the spirit to live in this world as Jesus did, then we have confidence that whatever we ask in His will, He listens to us. Knowing He listens, we trust that we will receive what we ask from Him, “…because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

Jesus Christ prayed for our sanctification, and God is answering His prayer. However, He did not pray for us to be able to pray our way out of this world’s difficulties. “But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” John 17:13-19

Jesus Christ was unable to alter the will of God when He asked that the cup of His crucifixion be lifted from Him. Even though this part of His prayer was denied, He also asked for God’s will to prevail over His own. He persevered in God’s will, despite the pain and agony, fulfilling His role as the Lamb of God to atone for the sins of the world. “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” Luke 22:4244

In Heaven, those slain on Earth for witnessing of Jesus Christ cried out to God, questioning when He would judge the Earth. The answer given was that judgment would not come until the full number of their fellow servants and brothers, destined to be slain as they were, had been fulfilled. “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” Revelation 6:9-11

Daniel, too, faced moments when his prayer requests remained unanswered; however, rather than faltering in faith, he received a revelation. This revelation given to Daniel is written in chapters 11 and 12 of the Book of Daniel. He is known as a significant prophet of the end times, mirroring the events of today’s era. While Daniel’s prayers could not alter God’s will of the coming events, his devotion led to him being given a powerful revelation.

Daniel might have been disheartened and fearful, feeling that his prayers were going unheard, yet the angel of God reassured him that his prayers were indeed being heard. The delay in answering Daniel’s prayers was due to God’s will to attend to an earthly matter that did not align with Daniel’s requests. “Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days…”. Daniel 10:12-13

In the ninth chapter of Daniel verses 20-27, Gabriel quickly came to Daniel while he was still in prayer. Click here for Daniel’s prayer in Daniel 9:1-19. Gabriel’s purpose was to give Daniel the skill of understanding, which he didn’t have during his supplications. Daniel’s prayers were indeed heard and were answered in accord with God’s will for him, by giving Daniel understanding of the vision he had received. “…yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. At the beginning of your supplications the word went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:” Daniel 9:2123

Daniel was asking for mercy and salvation be given to the Israelites, for the Jewish people, yet God’s will had been set in motion and could not, cannot, be changed. Daniel received the revelation that the Jewish people would be given time to end their rejection of Him and turn to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. “Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.” Daniel 9:24

Daniel received the revelation that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, would be cut off from the Jewish people, ending the mercy and Salvation God had sent to them. This revelation came as a response to Daniel’s prayers for mercy and Salvation for the Jewish people, which is why we pray, “not my will, but Yours be done.” “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.” Daniel 9:26

There is an entity in this world with power over physiology. The “prayers” that the atheistic entity grants are designed to alter the will of God by focusing on physiological enhancements, material possessions, social rewards, relationship “adjustments” etc. This entity detests the Living God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. This entity has power over physiology, technological devices [such as television] etc. and answers “prayers” by swaying what people do, think, say, and feel towards others. People are required to live within this entity’s will by welcoming the image of the beast to live and speak through them by what they are given to say, do, feel, and think. Anything they ask in the will of this atheistic entity is granted. People everywhere are being groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
