Abominations are to be put away from the Sanctuary of God.

“Now say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “O house of Israel, let Us have no more of all your abominations.” Ezekiel 44:6

An abomination is an intense dislike, and God wants us to have nothing more to do with what He has an intense dislike for. Today, the abominations of the Jewish people correspond to their turning from the will of God for them to receive Jesus Christ, which causes them to oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit. God intensely dislikes that. They have rejected the entire New Testament, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they live only by the Old Testament.

The same words that God gave Ezekiel to speak are the words given to us who live for Him through Jesus Christ. We are to spread the Gospel of Christ to lead people to have no more to do with abominations. Those abominations include atheism that does not believe God, scoffing at the need for the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and ritualistically oppressing the presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ gave His life on the altar of the Cross to atone for sin and to put away abominations, “He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” Hebrews 9:26

Abominations are something that God has an intense dislike for, and He desolates those dislikes with His Holiness. Today’s culture has put that abomination where it shouldn’t be and they desolate belief in God, the Gospel of Christ, and the Holy Spirit. That turns this world into a place of chaos and tribulation, as Jesus said, “So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Mark 13:14 The abomination of desolation now sets in the Holy place, our body [the sanctuary of God], to destroy the Holiness of God. In Matthew 24:15-16, Jesus is quoted as saying the abomination that makes desolate sets in the Holy place, “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Matthew 24:15-16

The abomination of desolation is spoken about in Daniel 9:27. Click for the full post mentioning the abomination of desolation in Daniel 9:20-27.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
