“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” Malachi 3:17

The phrase “They shall be Mine” refers to all who are made children of God through Jesus Christ, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” John 1:12, 2, Corinthians 6:18

The phrase “On the day that I make them My jewels” refers to the day when Jesus Christ atoned for our sin on the Cross, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 When we came to the Cross of Christ seeking forgiveness for our sins, we were seen as jewels in the eyes of God, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

The phrase, “And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him” refers to passing from death to life by our belief in Jesus Christ, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 “…whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
