Inhabitants of Israel will plunder and pillage those who plundered and pillaged them.

“They will not take wood from the field nor cut down any from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 39:10

In this scenario of the “day after”, the weapons being burned for “seven years” are not being burned all at once nor as quickly as possible, but as a substitute for firewood. A possible reason of why trees are not taken from the forests is that the land around Israel is devasted by brutal war. This is how this is described in the very First of the seven Trumpets, in the scope of the whole world, “The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.” Revelation 8:7 Perhaps the trees are unfit for use for other reasons as well.

The remnant/survivors of Israel might take refuge in some type of shelter, with all the protective gear etc. But by the time the Sixth Trumpet sounds and the Sixth Plague is unleashed, who knows how advanced survival technology and weaponry will be?

The remnant/survivors of Israel will plunder and pillage whatever is left of those who pillaged and plundered them. In this scenario of the “day after”, the effort to survive would be very brutal, especially between countries that have been vicious enemies. God grants Israel their final victory on this earth, their final effort for survival, by allowing them to plunder and pillage the resources of those who did the same to them before the battle of Armageddon. As a reminder, there is going to be a brief time remaining on this earth between the Sixth Plague of Armageddon and the Seventh Plague/Seventh Trumpet when Jesus Christ returns. This is a window where the “day after” the Battle of Armageddon is seen.

We who live for Jesus Christ has the final victory over this world,

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in his strength alone;
the arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer;
where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
this day the noise of battle, the next, the victor’s song.
To him that overcomes a crown of life shall be;
he with the King of glory shall reign eternally.

[Stand Up for Jesus, church song]

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
