The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.” Ezekiel 37:1-2

God revealed to Ezekiel a valley filled with very many dry bones, which become very dry from exposure to the elements. These bones symbolized the individuals of the Jewish nation who were left without a land of their own to occupy. In 70 AD, the Jewish people were expelled from Jerusalem, cast into a “valley” where they became like dry bones, nationless. This was the year when the Roman general, Titus, desolated Jerusalem, demolished the Temple, and dispersed the Jewish people worldwide. Titus later became the Roman Emperor. It was not until 1948 that the Jewish people reassembled their “bones” and returned to the land of Israel. For 1878 years, from 70 AD to 1948, the Jewish nation lay in the valley, bereft of their land, akin to the very dry bones Ezekiel saw.

Today, the valley of very many dry bones includes every individual who is in their grave, will die, or has died without a burial, having been faithful to God, lived for Jesus Christ, and embraced the Holy Spirit. This includes every person from the dawn of time until the return of Jesus Christ. There are countless dry bones that God will resurrect from the grave into eternal life to live with Him forever. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
