“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.” Ezekiel 36:24
The promises of God to Israel, outlined in the preceding verses 1-23, are summed up in the verse above: He will bring the Jewish people from among the nations, gather them from all countries, and bring them to their own land. This promise was realized in 1948 with the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel, where Jewish people from around the world congregated.
The Jewish people have their promised land on this earth, but unless they reconcile with God through Jesus Christ, their destiny is eternal hell, not the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We who believe Jesus Christ will be gathered from all around to sit with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the eternal promised land. However, the “sons of the kingdom” (the Jewish people) will be cast out into outer darkness, “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
