“‘And you, son of man—will it not be in the day when I take from them their stronghold, their joy and their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds, their sons and their daughters: that on that day one who escapes will come to you to let you hear it with your ears?” Ezekiel 24:25-26
Ezekiel was living his life faithfully to the will of God, and he spoke the word of God to the rebellious Israelites. When the calamity happened to the Israelites, which was foretold by the word of God, Ezekiel heard about it. The prophecy of Jerusalem being destroyed, the temple being desolated, and the sons and daughters slain all came to pass in the lifetime of Ezekiel. There was one among the Israelite survivors that shared his testimony with Ezekiel that the word of God had been fulfilled. God allowed Ezekiel to hear with his own ears that the word of God had been fulfilled. This would allow Ezekiel to rejoice in the faithfulness of God’s word by hearing it from the mouth of one who personally witnessed the prophetic event.
Today, God has taken from the Jewish people their stronghold, their joy and glory, the desire of their eyes, and that which they have set their minds on. The Jewish people have made the State of Israel their power, glory, and kingdom instead of accepting the Kingdom of God through belief in Jesus the Christ. Our Lord Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom, power, and glory belongs to God, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:13
The Jewish people have made the Jewish State of Israel more important than their need for Christ Jesus, and as a result, destruction is on them today and will be on them in the future. The land of Israel has been plagued with violence and war since the Lord brought them there in 1948. Their stronghold is anything but, as their joy and glory is far from their reach. They desired the State of Israel and set their minds on having it and now it is but a pot in which they are boiled in. The children of Israel are taken from them in that they are not raised to live in the will of God to receive Jesus Christ. The Jewish heritage, as the people of God, has been taken from Israel. As followers of Jesus Christ, this the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible, and now we are hearing it with our own ears.
Ezekiel is a survivor of the calamity of the Israelites, and he has brought it to our ears the calamity of Israel of today, as He spoke through the will of God, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20 That is also said in this verse, “And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.” Ezekiel 20:34
We can assess that in this year 2024, we are witnessing and hearing about the fulfillment of Bible prophecy concerning the destruction of Israel. The diagnosis is that the Jewish people have set their mind on Israel as their joy, glory, and desire instead of setting their heart, mind, and soul on God through Jesus Christ. We plan to keep our ears, eyes, and heart open to hear the word of God concerning the prophecies He spoke concerning Israel and this present world system. We implement that plan by seeing and hearing the events of this world as they align with the prophecy spoken of in the Holy Bible. We know that plan is successful as we live for Jesus Christ because the “…testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy” Revelation 19:10 If we want to know where Israel and this world is within prophecy we only need to see where Jesus Christ is within Israel and the world.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
