Quote from original article below,
WHITESVILLE, Kentucky — In a shocking incident out of Letcher County, Kentucky, Sheriff Shawn Stines has been arrested and charged with the murder of District Judge Kevin Mullins inside a Whitesville courthouse. The deadly shooting occurred in the courthouse on Thursday afternoon, leaving the local community stunned.
The motive for the murder remains unclear, and officials have yet to release further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the tragedy. The courthouse remains closed today as the investigation continues.
Judge Mullins had been a prominent figure in the district, and his death has sent shockwaves through the judicial and local community.
Why is there so much murder and lawlessness within law enforcement itself? That can be answered by asking what has happened to the human conscience and spirit of people today? When people allow themselves to be influenced by what other people do and say, they are not allowing their conscience and human spirit to guide them in making wholesome decisions. The atheistic entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say has replaced the human conscience and spirit. Because of that, a wall is built against the Holy Spirit from living within the conscience, living for Jesus Christ is prevented, and belief in God is mocked. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live, act, and speak through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to do and say.
The days are upon us when today’s atheistic culture will grab hold of us and deliver us to the courts, judges, governing authorities, and management personnel of every type. As Jesus our Lord says, “…they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.” Luke 21:12
When we are brought before judges, governing authorities, and management personnel, our response is not to answer with guns, violence, and rebellion, but “...be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.” Titus 3:1-2
We can assess that answering to judges, governing authorities, and management personnel is a part of everyday life. The diagnosis is that many people are rebellious against the authorities of today’s culture, they despise showing goodness to those who spite them, are filled with hostile words, are harsh, and refuse to humble themselves to the uncanny authority of others. As followers of Jesus Christ, we plan to humble ourselves to those in authority over us and to the people we see from day-to-day. We implement that plan by living in the presence of the Holy Spirit who is given to us by remission of sin through Jesus the Christ. We know that plan is successful when we are a light of peace, meekness, gentleness, faith, joy, goodness, kindness, and goodwill.
Our Lord Jesus subjected Himself to the judgment of the governing authorities of the Roman Empire, even to the point of death, while also being faithful to the will of God, as quoted below,
“The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.” Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.” When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha. Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Behold your King!
But they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!” Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. Then they took Jesus and led Him away.
John 19:7-16
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
