“So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died; and the next morning I did as I was commanded.” Ezekiel 24:18

Ezekiel brought the word of God to the Israelites in the morning, before his wife died. A description of the Israelite congregation he spoke to is given in Ezekiel 33:30-33. That evening his wife died, and Ezekiel did as God led him to do, which is to show no outward signs of mourning. He was told to “Sigh in silence.” What God led Ezekiel to do, which was contrary to the customs of the Israelites on the right way to mourn, was to mirror the response of the Israelites as their heritage with God was destroyed and drowned in death. They showed no remorse, shame, guilt, or repentance of any type, not a tear was shed.

God sent Jesus Christ 2000 years ago to bring the Good News of the Kingdom of God. That was the morning of a new relationship with God as the Holy Spirit would be given to all who believe in Christ Jesus. The Gospel of Christ is the Good News which is this, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Unfortunately, the Jewish people and all who reject Jesus has brought the evening of the death of the Gospel of Christ. They are not remorseful, ashamed, not even a feeling of guilt that would lead them to repentance. When the Jewish people rejected the word of God, which was brought through Jesus Christ, their heritage as the people of God died. The Jewish people shed no tears at all as they discard the entire New Testament, the Gospel of Christ, and live only by the Old Testament.

“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Acts 2:36

Jesus the Christ brought the word of God to this world and His Gospel is spread across the globe. That was the morning of the Good News of Salvation. The Gospel of Christ spread freely up to the time of the formation of the United Nations immediately after WW2 in 1945, which brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8. Since that time, evening has come and there has been a great falling away from Christ Jesus, as described in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4.

The culture of today’s world has died to God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They serve the atheistic entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say, which replaces the spirit and conscience. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is no longer heard in the churches. The government lawmakers no longer include the values of the Bible in policies and laws. The educational system no longer teaches the Bible in the classrooms, and Christianity is not welcomed in any sector of society. This world doesn’t even shed a tear of remorse and shame. God tells the followers of Jesus Christ to “Sigh in silence” without making on open showing of mourning and grief.

We can assess that the morning of our life is when we decided to believe God and live for Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The diagnosis is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is in the evening hours of death in this world. We plan to not spend our days mourning and crying for everyone to see. We implement that plan by keeping the word of God and the Spirit of Christ alive within us by living on the hidden Bread of Life within our heart, mind, and soul. We know that plan is successful when we sigh in silence at the atheism that dominates the culture of today’s world.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
