Israel has become like dross in the fire.

“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver.” Ezekiel 22:17-18

When the Jewish people were scattered and dispersed for 1878 years, from 70AD to 1948, they became dross in the eyes of God. That means they turned from the will of God when rejecting Jesus Christ and grieved the presence of the Holy Spirit. Dross is the scum that forms on the top of melted down metal, it is skimmed off the top and thrown away. The Jewish people became worthless to the purpose of God, whose purpose is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, as Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

For the most part, the Jewish people have always refused to talk about the testimony of Jesus Christ. They have tossed aside the entire New Testament, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, and they live only by the Old Testament. The Jewish people are like the cheapest of metals who’s worth as a Jewish culture is of far less value than the worth of the body of Jesus Christ. They are like dross in the fiery trials of this world as they have turned their backs on God by denying that Jesus Christ is their Savior. Their worth to God is between nil and zero.

As members of the body of Jesus Christ, the genuineness of our faith is to stand strong in fiery trials. The value of gold is known as soon as it is tested in the fire, the purer the gold the less dross surfaces to the top. While gold perishes with this world, the worth of our steadfast faith through tribulation brings eternal life. “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:6-8

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.” 1 Peter 4:12-14

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
