God gave the Sabbaths and Sundays to keep as a sign that He is Lord.

“Moreover, I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.” Ezekiel 20:12

In the previous verse, God gave the Israelites His life-giving statutes and His judgments while they were in the wilderness. In this verse, He gives them His Sabbaths so that they would know that He is the Lord who sanctifies them. Today, God has given us His life-giving word through Jesus Christ and has also given us the Sunday churches where we are supposed to learn that the Lord sanctifies us through the Holy Spirit.  “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 Jesus said, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17

Today, those of the Jewish culture are supposed to use their Sabbaths to teach and preach the word of God, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sanctification only comes through Jesus Christ who gives us the Holy Spirit, “By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:10. The Jewish people have tossed aside the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the entire New Testament. They only live by the Old Testament. “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.” Luke 16:16

In the wilderness is where the Sabbaths and the word of God were given to the Israelites. Today, all of humanity has access to the word of God, the Holy Bible, where anyone can learn that God sanctifies the spirit and soul by believing in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Priest of our soul, our soul being His temple, and we only need to go to Him to learn about sanctification, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
